About this mod

Gemstones Expanded renames most of the precious gemstones in Oblivion Remastered to add a sense of variety in treasure hunting. I did my absolute best at capturing the color/rarity conditions of each gemstone when renaming to an accurate real-world geological perspective (pearls are the only exemption, you dont actually find moonstones in clams.)

INSTALLATION
Simply merge the zipped data folder into your data folder and overwrite any previous GemstonesExpanded.esp if asked. Then use MagicLoader and 'do magic' to patch the GemstonesExpanded.json file with any other json files you may have already.
if you have a previous version below V1.52, check your ~mods folder for a 'Gemstones Expanded' folder and delete it (that was a magicloader standalone version that overrides any other mods that require magic loader)

COMBATABILITY
if there are any (NL)s in front of the gemstones for whatever reason, NL-Tag Remover mod typically fixes the issue:
https://www.nexusmods.com/oblivionremastered/mods/473
With mesh-swapping (V3), and eventually adding gems to the game (V4) i think this NL Tage remover will be required at some point.
This mod works better at the bottom of the plugin.txt especially if you are using revalue mods

VERSION HISTORY

V1  [renaming/revalue of gemstones]
---------------------------------
V1 52 - switched from standalone magicloader mod to community based for better compatability with other magicloader mods
V1.5 - updated jewellery values in association to the gemstones new values
V1.4 - removed the reference to iMaxPlayerSummonedCreatures from the esp file. (cleaner ESP)
V1.3 - Revalues the gemstones to more of an appropriate sense based on the new specimens
V1.2 - Added an ESP to the mod to force name changes to override other mods changing values to the gemstones
V1.1  - cleaned up unnecessary script attachments that may have conflicted with other mods
V1.0 - Initial Release

Future Plans
--------------------
V2.0 will be recoloration of flawed/flawless gemstones to implement new gems to the game. The gemstones chosen will be a balance between common/rare, all the colors of the rainbow, and copper/platinum metals will be included

V3.0 will be a gemstone meshswap replacer port coming from my expanded gemstones mod from SSE.
https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/36509

V4.0 will bring brand new gem cut meshes to be used as a replacer for all the vanilla gems with a wide range of gemcut shapes. Im Working with Shadowrend try and mesh swap the gemstones for the brand new ones using Unreal Engine 5. After we figure that out and test it with this mod, and when i have the capability of adding new items to the game without crashing, i will create a new mod (The Gemstone Collector - Wandering Alchemist [a remake of Mystic Legacy but better x10 in terms of gem quality and geological accuracy]) that doesn't touch the vanilla gemstones (yet) and adds in gemstones at a slow pace for testing purposes. (first 5 new gems, 10, 25, 50, 100, 300) I currently have around 300 gems planned entirely for the moment but that will probably go higher.
