My new focus will be on refining them and releasing Optional files for recreation without using the saves
All but one character setting displayed are 100% vanilla with NO dependencies. No texture mods, fixes, or ReShades. Femnord is the only one that I used Young Textures Revamped by Fuse00 for, but she looks fine otherwise. All characters are created with semi-realistic proportions and ratios in mind.
Using these files starts you prior to exiting the sewers and skips the intro. You can still make changes to the characters before you leave.
- *Femnord has been revamped — Again. Sorry! Young Textures Revamped is not required, but HIGHLY recommended — her default textures are horrendous.
- Slight revisions have been made to Mord, Mosmer, and Mimperial. Mord was reworked to look decent with and without a beard, Mimperial had some eye problems, and Mosmer had beard clipping issues, but all are fixed now — New Optional preset files have been made available for Mord and Mimperial
- Unfortunately, I'm still unhappy with Mimperial's face because of the default face morph. The eyes cross at the slightest touch and are freakishly reptilian. Until I get him totally figured out, I'd honestly recommend checking out Castiel instead, even though he requires Young Textures Revamped.
- [PC ONLY] Can I inject these characters into an existing game? YES, using mods — RaceMenu Utilities by animandan allows you to import/export presets that bypass the racemenu, so your skills/spells/level progress will not be affected. I might release my characters in another optional file as presets using this tool. In the meantime, you can load up one of my saves, create a preset using the tool, and load it onto your existing character without issue.
- Another solution comes in the form of Menu Handy Options by RamlethalSnake — this tool functions using a modded spell allowing you to manually change your sliders using showracemenu without losing your stats.
- Could I enable Vortex downloads? Unfortunately, Vortex doesn't quite handle savegames like it does normal mods; manual installation is the only way. Fortunately, it's just as simple as dropping it into your saves folder and you're done! Please refer to the Installation/Troubleshooting section of this description and reach out if you're having issues.
INSTALLATION
STEAM INSTALLATION:
- Place the save file(s) in the "C:\Users\<YourName>\Documents\My Games\Oblivion Remastered\Saved\SaveGames" folder, and you're done. Nothing else required.
- Be sure to open the game and select "LOAD" as opposed to "CONTINUE" and load from there. You should see a drop-down showing your chosen character's name.
GAME PASS INSTALLATION:
- Follow the guide made by TroubleChute on YouTube (below) - This is much more comprehensive than I'd be able to type out in a description. This should get everything to work without issue.
- Alternatively, you can try this Python tool Oblivion Remastered Game Pass Save Manager (Import Export and Delete) by animandan
- As some helpful people in the comments have mentioned, one of the reasons that the save files may not show up is that they're being deposited in your OneDrive as opposed to the "C:\Users\YourName\Documents\My Games\Oblivion Remastered\Saved\SaveGames" folder. Ensuring they're in the proper folder, people have been able to get these saves to work. To reiterate, the save folder is not inside your game directory, it's in your C: drive's Documents folder located at the file path listed above.
- If your hood clips with any of the characters, especially Khajiit, unequip your main chest armor and re-equip it. Should be able to see it fix itself.
- If your hair becomes see-through in certain lighting, turn your Effects setting to Medium, that fixed it for me.

Optional Files include text and screenshot presets for various characters - Hoping to complete them all once I become content with their looks
Please keep in mind that I've spent multiple hours on each individual character, so please be respectful. I've only taken them up to the dock outside the sewer to check lighting, so if there are clipping issues with helmets, let me know and I'll look into it (also see Troubleshooting for hoods).
