Tested on GTX 1650 Ti + Ryzen 5 4600H — stable 34–37 FPS open world | 40 FPS indoor
Maximize FPS on mid-range hardware (GTX 1650 Ti laptop), Cap FPS to 36 by string locking in Engine.ini with MaxSmoothedFrameRate=36
Minimize stuttering and frametime hitches
Improve frame pacing and smoothness
Preserve acceptable visual quality (no "ugly" ultra-low visuals)
Key Principles Used
OneFrameThreadLag=0 for tight real-time frame delivery.
Lumen and Nanite disabled to suit GTX 1650 Ti limitations.
Single source control of ScreenPercentage via Engine.ini.
Proper FPS capping to match hardware capabilities (no "FPS chasing" beyond stable refresh).
FSR2 Upscaling for preserving clarity without native 1080p burden.
"Tuned for stable 34–37 FPS on mid-tier laptops by disabling heavy UE5 features, optimizing frame pacing, and aggressively upscaling rendering resolution with FSR2 while keeping visuals acceptable."
