Oblivion

Skyrim Facebook screenshots

Though they were added nearly a week ago, I thought I would draw everyone's attention to the E3 screenshot gallery posted on The Elder Council Facebook page.

If you haven't joined already, the Facebook page is a great source of up-to-the-minute Skyrim news. I would recommend it wholeheartedly. Below are a couple of screenshots on offer:

The now-infamous "chubby pony" of Skyrim.

A closer look at the improved NPC facial models.

    Looks fabulous. Makes me wonder whether there will be a "Old"livion kind of mod which downgrades the visuals immensely for the older "veterans" of gaming so that they aren't left behind.

    @Choi_Seungmin

    todd howard said that skyrim will not have as much cosmetic freedom that oblivion has, so you wont be able to "fine tune" your character as much in skyrim as you can in oblivion during the character generation, basically they give you pre-set features,(noses, eyes etc.) and you just resize them on your face, rather than in oblivion where you can control how far away your eyes are from your face and such, it hardly matters anyways because the chargen in oblivion really sucked and the people were really ugly in vanilla

    It sure looks GREAT both of the screenshots. One is "Chubby Pony", so he calls it, but, personally, I would like to call it the "Hunk Pony", well anyways...

    And the other one is, looks like, female Imperial. The face of that character is quite a sexy-lookin' chick, campared to that of a character customized from Oblivion. I gotta train my cosmetic skills while I'm playing Oblivion right now. x)

    Well, I just hope Skyrim will be the best game of Elder Scrolls Series.(Well, just from the look of it, it sure beats other Elder Scrolls game so far...)

    The Elder Scrolls 4.5

    And by this you mean it looks too much the same?
    I guess you base it off of the graphics then?

    I rather like the 'chubby pony'. It seems a bit on the short side, IMO, but other than that is strikes me as the kind of heavy draft horse that would be well suited for the lands of Skyrim.

    I absolutely love all the images we've been shown. Makes me want to sleep until 11/11/11 so I don't have to wait. I happen to really like the horse and I wish people would understand that there are different breeds of horses in real life. My grandmother used to ride one of the big horses, she called them barrel horses because of their width. This horse works great for the cold climate, for me oblivion horses wouldn't fit the rough terrain of Skyrim.

    Okay I'm done ranting now.

    The shadows look so much more dynamic in Skyrim. Gotta say - I like it a lot. May need a new computer for this one.

    This game looks stunning. I'm curious as to what the system Requirements are going to be.
