Oh. My. Gosh. This is amazing, how did I never see this before? I've seen a million things about daggerxl but I just noticed this at http://galfar.vevb.net/wp/tag/tes/ by pure coincidence. This definitely isn't fully playable and I doubt it ever will be (No updates in years) but it was fun to at least experience the beginning dungeon in a mostly 3-d world... Even if the enemies don't attack me.
Hello. I figured out img compresssion/decompressin algo for images which flags (in img header) has 0x0004 bit set. compression method used for pixels in this case is well known as lzss algorithm. C sources (for dos) of this compression was available on Fabrice Belard's web pages. fli/flc animation are autodesk animator files, xmi are old midi firmat usable (playable) with dmkit, but you probably already know this. i havent played arena in so long.... this is cool.... i played it on my x386 and beat jagar tharn ... one thing oblivion doesnt have that other TES games have had is discovering things for yourself...the unknown... oblivion kind of shows you where to go...part of the fun of these games is finding things yourself.... i liked daggerfall for its immensity but it crashed too much never finished it.... but daggerfall had a bazillion places to go... i think ill play arena tonight ">morrowind took me months to beat .... oblivion 3 weeks... :| i was disappointed .... the game told me where to go ...glad they made mods to change that..
