About this mod

This mod will make all flora behave more realistically by changing their appearance when you harvest them (whether you are successful or not). When you harvest a plant if its ingredient is a flower then the plant\'s flowers will disappear and so on, through some plants ingredients are roots which they don\'t have and you can\'t see them anywa

Permissions and credits
This mod will make all flora behave more realistically by changing their appearance when you harvest them (whether you are successful or not). When you harvest a plant if its ingredient is a flower then the plant's flowers will disappear and so on, through some plants ingredients are roots which they don't have and you can't see them anyway so the flowers disappear instead (think of it as you snapping them off to let yourself know you've already collected the roots from it).


Notes, Known Issues & Incompatibilities
-Behaviour of Nirnroot remains unchanged.
-Pitcher Plants have no ingredient so they will now become un-harvestable (next time the cell resets you'll be unable to attempt to harvest nothing from them).
-Attacking plants like the Spiddel Stick will no longer attack you once harvested.


Installing
1.) Extract the files from the archive and place them into your Bethesda Softworks\Oblivion\Data folder.
2.) Start the Oblivion Launcher and go to Data Files.
3.) Tick RealisticFlora.esp, also tick RealisticFlora - DLCVileLair.esp and RealisticFlora - DLCFrostcrag.esp if you have those official mods installed and running, click OK.
Note: Both RealisticFlora - DLCVileLair.esp and RealisticFlora - DLCFrostcrag.esp need to be loaded after their corresponding official mods and RealisticFlora.esp itself.
4.) Enjoy!


Uninstalling
1.) Delete RealisticFlora.esp, RealisticFlora - DLCVileLair.esp, RealisticFlora - DLCFrostcrag.esp, RealisticFlora.bsa and Realistic Flora Readme.html from your Bethesda Softworks\Oblivion\Data folder.
2.) And you're done!


FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)
Question: Something strange is happening, plants aren't appearing harvested or it's happening very slowly, what's wrong?
Answer: What you have is the animation bug (not caused by Realistic Flora or any other mod), it usually happens in gamesaves over 200 hours and affects anything animated. To fix this problem you'll need to use zBobGuy's [a href="http://www.tessource.net/files/file.php?id=5127"]Animation Fixer[/a] on your afflicted gamesaves.

Q: It is safe to replace Harvest [Flora] with Realistic Flora?
A: Yep it sure is! Realistic Flora acts like the stop plugin from Harvest [Flora] undoing the disabled plants when you go into the areas that have been afflicted by Harvest [Flora].

Q: Will Realistic Flora cause gamesave bloating like Harvest [Flora] does?
A: No, Realistic Flora uses NIF animations for the harvested effect which causes NO bloating at all.

Q: Will I lose my plants if I disable/remove Realistic Flora?
A: Nope.

-Fixed the problem with Motherwort plants causing "bluish" looking screens at certain angles (caused by the draw mode in NiStencilProperty being set to DRAW_CW).
-All 8 versions of Morning Glory no longer use an alternate texture and a duplicated mesh for the harvested effect, slight performance increase.
-Plugged the holes on top the Sacred Lotus, Motherwort, Dragon Tongue and Mana Bloom stalks.

v2.5.0 (19/01/2007)
-Fixed the hit effect on all plants. Unknown to me then the effect of "skin tight" activation also allows you to hit them with melee (spells and arrows go through them, they don't interfere when attacking creatures in or around them) and all plants had the stone hit effect, on the good side it's more realism!
-All flora now use visibility animations, where previously using transform animations. While no difference in-game (maybe a slight performance increase) it works a lot better behind the scene.
-Chopped and diced a lot of plant meshes so they no longer use an alternate texture and a duplicated mesh for the harvested effect (some still use it since it looks better), slight performance increase.
-Plants already harvested in existing games will now appear harvested when you activate Realistic Flora.
-Stinkhorn now has an altered appearance when harvested instead of disappearing entirely.
-The attacking Spiddal Stick is now supported.
-The 2 types of attacking Harrada Root are now supported.
-Improved harvested appearance of Motherwort.

-All flora now use nif animations!
-As a result of animation:
-Any plant added, moved, removed, by mods work without any issues.
-Can disable Realistic Flora whenever you want without fear of losing any flora in your games.
-The flickering issue when a plant is harvested has been eliminated with no ill effects so only one ESP now.
-Your gamesaves file size will no longer increase since the PlaceAtMe script command is no longer used.
-The "step pop" bug is gone (where the plant disappears totally when harvested until you take a step or two).
-Now safe to use on games that have previously used Harvest [Flora] or older versions of Realistic Flora (don't need to worry about stopping anything as the plants will go back to normal the next time the cell resets).
