Face Exhcange - Face Collection 1

This collection contains 12 character faces from various authors. I have asked permission from each author to publish their character faces in this collection. If you are going to use these character faces in your modifications or other project: please respect also their copyrights and ask their permissions first! You can use these faces freely in your own player characters.

This collection requires Oblivion Face Exchange Lite (http://www.tessource.net/files/file.php?id=7808). Huge thanks for the contributors - and if you want to contribute your own character face read "FUTURE VERSIONS" section!

INSTALLATION:

1. Download and install latest Oblivion Face Exchange Lite from http://www.tessource.net/files/file.php?id=7808.
2. Unzip this collection to "My Documents\My Games\Oblivion\Faces" folder.
3. Start Face Exchange Lite
4. Select your save file from the list.
5. Click "Edit Save..." button.
6. From "Change Face" window, click "Face File..." button. (If you want, you can also enable "Select Features" check box. It allows you to select what face properties are imported to your save file.)
7. Browse to face file that you want to import your save file.
8. From Face information window you can browse screenshots and check that this face is what you want to import your save file.
9. Click "ok"
10. Click "Save..." and program asks save file name. You can use default or select another one. Replacing old save file is not recommended.
11. Launch Oblivion, load save and hope that everything did go fine.

NOTES:

- Jasper101's Dante character requires following plugin: Corvo's "Half Devil Race" plugin v0.2b or v0.11b (http://www.tessource.net/files/file.php?id=7508). Select correct face file (v0.2b or 0.11b) before importing face. Ren's hairs are included in the plugin.

- There are 2 versions from the Cloud810's Setsuko: masked and non-masked version. Both require "Cosmetic Compilation" (http://www.tessource.net/files/file.php?id=7531) plugin. You can also use any other plugin that contains Ren's Hairs, but then you need to change character hair to "Ren's Hair 10" or "Ren's Hair 10 (mask)", before creating save file.

- Miss Onatopp's Nyx character is using "Dark Elf (glow)" eyes from "Cosmetic Compilation" (http://www.tessource.net/files/file.php?id=7531) plugin. These eyes are also available at least in "Capucines Character Expansion" (http://www.tessource.net/files/file.php?id=3934).

FUTURE VERSIONS AND HOW TO CONTRIBUTE:

I already have some save files with cool faces waiting for editing. Unfortunately progress is bit slow, because it will take at least 1 hours to prepare face file, another extra hour if I need to take screenshots and at least few hours, if face is using plugins that I haven't yet installed. Hopefully pack 2 is ready in couple weeks :)

If you want to contribute your own faces please contact to me by mail [email protected], TES source PM (user name mpuonti) or Official Forums PM (user name Resetgun). There are two requirements:
1. You must be face's original author.
2. Included screenshots must be teen safe. (... and I mean US teen safe - not European teen safe.)

If possible convert your save file to face file. This will make my work much more faster and easier. However, I can still do conversions for you. Also include your contact information and additional instructions.

HOW YOU CAN MAKE YOUR OWN FACE FILES:

1. Start Face Exchange Lite
2. Select save file from the list.
3. Click "Save Face to File..." button.
4. Enter to description field at least following:
- If your character is using custom race, hair or eyes - include information where users can download plugin and possible plugin version number. Unfortunately "Edit Face File" window doesn't yet show this information directly when editing your own face. However there is easy trick to acquire this information: Before clicking "Save Face to File..." button, click "Copy Face to File..." button. This copies your character's face to the clipboard. If you paste clipboard content to description field, you will see list of required plugins under character's name.
- Additional contact information. For example, if you want that users are contacting to your through forum PMs, remember to add forum's address and your user name.
- You can also add background story, clothing recommendations and other information.
5. Enter to author field - your name.
6. Homepage: where user can download save file, or your personal homepage.
7. Email: your email address. Please remember that everyone can see this email address - and this might cause some extra spamming to your mail address. Use your secondary email address (for example hotmail).
8. Add your screenshots to file.
- Try to get at least one good side and front pictures from your character's face.
- Ideal picture size is 424 x 424 pixels. Anything bigger is rescaled automatically.
- Here is good guide how to take screen shots: http://www.elderscrolls.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=578193. It seems like that some graphics card don't support screenshots, if you have antialiasing enabled. If you have problems, try to disable it from the game's options.
9. Click "Save..." button. Use default name or enter something else that describes face.
