There is a lot of competition in castle mods for Oblivion. Dunkerlore is not the best, but certainly not the worst either. I would say it is adequate.
The castle itself is fine, but altogether nothing special. There are other comparable mods that offer more, but Dunkerlore does not fall into any traps that ruin the effort undertaken. The quests, however, felt tacked on and cheapened the whole thing. Hiding a critical detail on how to start the quest in the changelog is not a good idea either; I wasted a lot of time trying to find how to start the quest before I discovered this.
The island that surrounds the castle is quite nice, and a very good idea, but feels artificial. It should either be orderly and cultivated, or disordered and wild, but not ordered and wild: that just looks weird. I think a path between the castle and the nearby settlement would have made an awful lot of sense too.
An altogether good effort, but eclipsed by some of the competition.

I love the castles...
Thank you...
It's an average mod. Not worth an .esp, according to me, especially if compared to other house mods.
Endrosed

The quest will start if you are staying somewhere in the exterior and after having delivered the "Amulet of Kings" to Jauffre.
