Changes in 1.1
*************************
Fixed a possible issue (I hope) that may have meant that Oblivion would still find the original image map for the coins - leaving them embossed, but still looking like dirty bronze.
Also did more work on the normal map - added the edge grooves and more detail in general.

Here it is! My first mod (well, a retexture anyway) for Oblivion.
This replaces the original gold coin. Anyone who's seen a real gold coin, or anything that's been heavily gilded etc. knows that gold has a .. well ... golden shine like nothing else, and I felt that the original, while looking rather like the collectors' coin (also much more bronze looking than gold), was a pale imitation.
I liked va_bettergold, but it's still pretty bronze-like for me. Remember gold doesn't tarnish!
I decided to take a different approach. I used a plain gold coloured image map, and created a normal map (i.e. bump map) to give the relief to the coin.
These coins are pretty shiny! And they have a nice embossed texture like a real gold coin (IMHO ;)
Hope you like these, and please vote if you do so I can have some feedback.
Hammerfist.
Also:
- stay tuned for my musicians mod - modelling work coming along nicely - should have a beta up in a week or two.

Installation
*************************
Simply extract all files to your ...Oblivion/Data/ directory. If you have used va_bettergold you may also have to manually delete the file .../textures/clutter/goldcoin01_g.dds, as this glowmap file isn't needed with this retexture.
Enjoy!
