Please use SkyBSA (https://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/49568) to save time. I learned this the hard way. :) For some unknown reason, the Vortex archive invalidation did not work properly. Most users will utilize OBSE, so just add the SkyBSA.dll and it works out of the box.
The AI Upscaled Textures here at nexus (https://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/54749) provides a very good package to beautify the old vanilla textures lore-friendly. However, the vendor signs of Imperial City looked little bit unnatural to me, so I decided to replace only this aspect using a slightly different approach. In screenshots, you can see the vanilla, the version of "AI Upscaled Textures" and mine, you can decide, what looks better to you.
