"Fewer City Map Markers" removes the map markers of castles and stables in order to reduce visual clutter. The markers for city gates remain and are still visible from the start, but must now be traveled to on foot before being able to be used for fast travel (the exception to this is the Imperial City, which can still be fast traveled to from the start). The map markers of Weynon Priory and Cloud Ruler Temple have received similar adjustments. These changes mirror the behavior of the city map markers of the Shivering Isles, resulting in a more consistent experience overall.
The mod also standardizes the names of the city gate map markers. For example, the gate markers in Bruma and Chorrol now have hyphens in their names like all the other cities (e.g., "Chorrol - North Gate"). Similarly, together with Bravil, Anvil's gate markers now refer to cardinal directions like all the other cities. For example, "Anvil Main Gate" is now called "Anvil - North Gate."
For the sake of compatibility, I did not edit the message that pops up after exiting the tutorial dungeon, which states that the player can fast travel to Weynon Priory immediately. This is no longer true with this mod.
A tiny patch for the "Unofficial Oblivion Patch" is provided.
