About this mod

A mod that adds voice acting to the mod Malevolent through the use of ElevenLabs AI. Every NPC in the mod is fully voiced.

Requirements
Permissions and credits
Malevolent Voiced

Finally, the voice-over of the Simyaz trilogy is complete! As with the previous two, this mod is achieved through the use of ElevenLabs AI.

Release Trailer:

Features
  • Every single NPC in the mod is now fully voice acted. Minor NPCs use the standard voice of their respective race, whereas the important characters have “unique” voices.
  • This was not automated; every single line was “hand-generated” (for lack of a better word), often going through several iterations and adjustments, as well as manual editing in a separate audio editor to achieve the right delivery.
  • The total number of voiced lines amount to 1665, spanning 3 hours and 38 minutes (for some reason the official mod page claims that the mod has over 5000 lines, but as far as I can make out, this is not the case. Maybe Simyaz counted lines differently than I do)
  • The mod by Simyaz also contains narration dialogue – that is, dialogue lines that narrate the character's actions. An optional file can be downloaded that includes voice acting for these parts as well, by a narrator voice that I have chosen. If this optional part is not installed, then the narrated parts will remain silent.

Notes
  • At this point, this mod does not make any changes to the mod itself, including the fairly frustrating cliffhanger. I am playing around with the idea of creating a separate mod for this purpose. More specifically, I am considering taking on the task of consolidating Simyaz's trilogy into my interpretation of the originally planned "Fiend Saga". This unofficial expansion would include fixes to Ruined-Tail's Tale, Tears of the Fiend and Malevolent to remove some quirks, make the appearance of recurring characters (including the introduction of Ruined-Tail) make more sense, as well as rounding up the story of Malevolent in some way. However, this is just an ambition at this point, so I absolutely cannot promise that it will happen, nor do I know when it would be finished, as it would be quite a project. Besides being fairly busy in real life, I also have several other projects that take some of my attention, such as Unique Voices, meaning that it would likely take a long while. So I recommend that you don't hold off on playing this mod for that!
  • The original mod includes a cutscene that I have remastered. Several NPCs appear in this cutscene, and since I use the mod Oblivion Character Overhaul V2, they will have that appearance rather than the vanilla ones. I therefore suggest that you also use this mod, not just for the consistency, but also because the NPCs just look vastly superior to vanilla.
Installation
Using your preferred installation method of choice, simply install the mod in the following order:

  • Malevolent (the original mod by Simyaz)
  • Malevolent Voiced
  • Optionally Malevolent - Narration

I would recommend using a mod manager such as MO2 or Wrye Bash for installing the mod.

Full credits to Simyaz for the original mod!

Hope you enjoy!
