Fixed reupload of a mod I decided to delete a because it had some issues. Reuploading it now because I figured out how to fix them.

This mod is just a little experiment I made for personal enjoyment, but I uploaded it in case someone else finds it cool or interesting too.
It's my attempt at using this game's AI system to create followers that behave a little more like real people with a bit of autonomy and less like weird automatons who follow you blindly.

Features:

The NPCs added by this mod can be recruited and they will behave mostly like normal followers. However, they will still try to follow their normal daily routine (eating, sleeping, reading, practicing with their weapon, socializing with nearby NPCs, etc.) as long as the following conditions are true:
  • The player is within a certain distance of them
  • The player is not in combat
  • The player's weapon is sheathed

As soon as one of these conditions changes (i.e. if they wander too far away from you, if you get into a fight, or if you draw your weapon) they will abandon whatever they're doing and their following beavior will kick in.
Some of these followers will also trade with you and offer training.

They will also enter sneak mode whenever you do, and in exterior cells they will teleport behind you if they detect you're in a different cell from them.

Followers:

At the Tiber Septim Hotel in the Imperial City you will find the following recruitable NPCs:

  • Julianna Neranius, a female Imperial cleric
  • Minsandra Mossvale, a female Bosmer rogue
  • Huzmeel Agezzeus, a male Argonian sorcerer

At the Count's Arms in Anvil you will find two Khajiit siblings (these are mostly two joke characters I created in reference to my two cats)

  • Oni G'hiri Raimanni, a female Khajiit nightblade
  • R'avi Oli Raimanni, a male Khajiit pirate

You can use the editor to create more followers with this mod's behavior. To do this, you can create a new NPC and then give them the script SATScript and add them to the faction SatFaction with a rank of 0.

(Havein mind that their clothes and equipmet might be different from the one in the screensots because most of their iventory is from levelled lists)

Feel free to reuse any of the contents of this mod for any purpose.

Limitations:

This mod is very simple and not as polished or advanced as other popular follower mods such as CM Partners. It lacks a lot of the more advanced features from that mod such as inventory sharing or giving orders. Also, no unique or voiced diaologue yet.

Known issues:

  • Sometimes they might forget to follow you through loading doors if they're doing something else, and they might take a while to catch up with you. If you want to avoid this you can unsheathe your weapon to make sure they're following you when you use the door.
  • All NPCs added by this mod have low responsibility so that they don't report any crimes they may see you commit. However, his emans that they might sometimes decide to steal food and get in fights with the guards.
