Tears of the Fiend Voiced

This mod introduces full voice acting to Simyaz' mod Tears of the Fiend, achieved through hard and tedious work and the magic of ElevenLabs AI. Many, many hours of went into making this, and I am quite pleased with the overall result.

Release Trailer:

Features
  • Every single NPC in the mod is now fully voice acted. Minor NPCs use the standard voice of their respective race, whereas the important characters have “unique” voices.
  • This was not automated; every single line was “hand-generated” (for lack of a better word), often going through several iterations and adjustments to achieve the right delivery.
  • The total number of voiced lines amount to 3482, spanning a whopping 8 hours and 11 minutes
  • The mod by Simyaz also contains narration dialogue – that is, dialogue lines that narrate the character's actions. An optional file can be downloaded that includes voice acting for these parts as well, by a narrator voice that I have chosen. If this optional part is not installed, then the narrated parts will remain silent.

Notes
  • The original mod is kind of inconsistent when it comes to the gender of the player character. Sometimes female player characters are recognized as such, other times not. For simplicity, I have decided to make these references gender-neutral in the voiced lines. However, an optional ESP can be installed that makes the necessary changes to the subtitles as well.
  • Furthermore, there is one minor character that could not be voiced by normal means due to their race being the unused "VampireRace" in the CS. Therefore, their race has been changed in the above-mentioned ESP. So if you want this character to be voiced, you have to install it, otherwhise they will remain silent.
  • In the original mod, engaging a particular character in dialogue will trigger some (pretty loud) music. In the unvoiced version, this is not a huge problem, but the music kind of drowns the voiced dialogue. As such, I have included an optional module that replaces this music with a silent file instead.
Installation

Using your preferred installation method of choice, simply install the mod in the following order:

  • Tears of the Fiend (the original mod by Simyaz)
  • Tears of the Fiend Voiced
  • Optionally Tears of the Fiend Voiced - Narration / Tears of the Fiend Voiced - No Dialogue MusicTears of the Fiend Voiced (ESP Edits) in any order

I would recommend using a mod manager such as MO2 or Wrye Bash for installing the mod.

Credits to Simyaz for the original mod.

Hope you enjoy!
