About this mod

Replaces the rather blocky-looking Xivilai vanilla creature models with Xivilai NPCs from AlienSlof's Playable Xivilai mod, giving them a bit more diversity and looking more like the Xivilai seen in ESO and Legends.

Changelogs
Of all the creature models in vanilla Oblivion, the Xivilai are the ones that have arguably aged the worst. This mod aims to update their appearance to closer fit what is seen in other Elder Scrolls games such as Elder Scrolls Online and ES: Legends thanks to the assets from AlienSlof's Playable Xivilai mod. This means you can now face male and female Xivilai enemies in game with lore-friendly appearances, including the unique Xivilai Anaxes and Medrike (thanks to Madcat221).

I have tried to balance these NPCs so that they fit as closely to the vanilla Xivilai creature stats as possible but any further input on how to do it better will be appreciated. This mod does not make the Xivilai race playable as there are a number of mods available for that such as the aforementioned Slof's Playable Xivilai, or the Cobl Races module from Common Oblivion.

A few other mentions:
  • Unarmed Xivilai now have a chance to wield a staff and a magic potion
  • The clothing that the Xivilai wear is lootable and wearable
  • The Summon Xivilai spell (both the scroll and the one bought from Borissean) now have a chance to summon either a male or female Xivilai

Installation:
Install through a mod manager and I highly recommend using a Bashed Patch for maximum compatibility.

Compatibility:
Incompatible with mods that edit the Data section of the Summon Xivilai magic effect and/or make changes to the Paradise (MQ15) quest.

Recommended to be played alongside other mods that improve the visual appearance of NPCs such as Oblivion Character Overhaul v2.

Credits:
Massive thanks to AlienSlof for permission to use Playable Xivilai and the Daedric robes from Slof's Robe Trader.
Madcat221 for their implementation of Anaxes and Medrike in the Paradise quest found in the OOO compatible plugin found in Playable Xivilai.
Bethesda for making Oblivion.
