This tiny immersion mod places two ramparts east and south-east of Skingrad to make the most logical walking route follow the road instead of passing through terrain.
It also adds some clutter and 2 horses to the otherwise completely empty stable building at Skingrad eastern gate.

Short description:


This tiny immersion mod places two ramparts east and south-east of Skingrad to make the most logical walking route follow the road instead of passing through terrain.
It also adds some clutter and 2 horses to the otherwise completely empty stable building at Skingrad eastern gate.


Long description:

These ramparts evidently has a history and it goes back to the early days of the founding of Skingrad back when the first stones where being put in place.
Back then the imperial legion had a small foothold on the small hills in the area where Skingrad now reside.
Several minotaur tribes where in control of much of the surrounding area and were in constant war with each other. The presence of the legion angered the minotaur tribes and it came to several battles between them. After a particular hard battle it was decided to build two ramparts where most of the attacks came from to reduce the casualties of the legion.
It worked since after the next big battle which cost the minotaurs most of their greatest warriors the tribes were never again strong enough to launch attacks on Skingrad. The hard work of cultivating the land and gathering resources could finally begin in earnest.
After a century of peace in the area the ramparts lost their utility and were abandoned. The eastern ramparts has partially crumbled and parts have slid down the cliffs. After an especially rough rainstorm a sizeable chunk of the cliffs also eroded off.
These ruined ramparts now stand as a reminder of the early minotaur wars which outcome enabled Skingrad to be constructed and prosper.


One of the things that I really like about the Unique Landscape mods is that they make certain parts of the landscape impassable and forces me
to walk around certain landscape features. I enjoy this because it makes me plan my route through the wilderness instead of just taking a
straight path from A to B no matter where I am going.
When it comes to Skingrad I've always just walked up the hill just east of Skingrad which leads up the the upper eastern gate since this is the shortest
route. This feels kind of awkward specifically since I like to roleplay and I don't think people would naturally walk that route, they would instead
simply follow the road. 
With this mod that route is now blocked by a wall and so is the path from south east of Skingrad where I normally simply walk across the hills instead of staying on the perfectly fine road available.
There is also a small advantage for those who take the slightly longer route in since it provides an opportunity to harvest a few useful ingredients. (see images).
With this mod I now walk the path that makes more sense and decided to share it.
