A downgraded rebuild of OCO v2 to reduce complexity and requirements

Welcome to the 59th installment of my Oblivion Immersion Series.

Gather 'round children, as I rewind the clock back to 2013.  By Akatosh has it really been that long?!  Way back in these blissful days of yore, Oblivion Character Overhaul v1.0 was released.  And lo, the people rejoiced.  No more potato faces!  It was an amazing mod that single-handedly made Oblivion playable for me.  It was later eclipsed by version 2.0 and the original version was removed.  It makes sense why - the newer version is undoubtedly superior in terms of asset quality and number of features.  But OCO v2 has many file dependencies that novice mod users find difficult.  I know this because on the r/oblivion and r/oblivionmods subreddits an "I need help with OCO" thread pops up every other week.  I am hardly exaggerating.

After the release and success of OblivionCharacter Overhaul v1.2 Unearthed, this little pet project I made for myself turns out to be a thing that others want. So what is OCO 1.5 and what does it do?  Basically it is my attempt to rebuild and improve OCO v1 using a mixture of assets from OCO v2 and a few other resource mods.  Doing so also eliminates the dependencies that make OCO v2 a finicky mod to install.

Good news: no more mucking around with OBSE and Blockhead!  (Yay!)  Bad news: the features that require those files had to be removed as a result.  (Boo...)  Head models and textures are back to being unisex, whereas men and women have separate ones in v2.  I also replaced most of the eye textures from v2.0 because I don't have permission to many of those assets.  Instead, I have mirrored those eye textures with free assets to the best of my ability, most of them being from my  BetterEyes mod (see the incompatibility section for other usable eye mods in case my choices here do not appeal).  A few eye colors among the wood elves/high elves had to be dropped due to a lack equivalents though.

Vanilla eye textures are left in place for elves and beast races so mods that add new NPCs won't produce the black-eyes glitch.

Many NPCs had minor plastic surgery to smooth out any outlandish features of their OCO faces but still keep to their original designs.  See Optional Files for a full break down.

Requirements
===========

Oblivion Version 1.2.0416

Installation Instructions
===================

Copy contents into your Oblivion data folder.

Uninstallation Instructions

Delete the esp, meshes, and textures

Optional Files
===========

OCO 1.5 comes in 3 versions: basic, lite, and full:

Basic uses the OCO v2 assets but includes no NPC touch ups or eye-color changes of any kind. Minimum changes for maximum compatibility.

Lite only makes NPC touch-ups and eye-color changes to unique NPCs, but generic NPCs like guards and bandits will remain unchanged.  Designed for better compatibility with overhaul mods.

Full offers the most comprehensive NPC revisions, including changes to generic NPCs.  Will absolutely require a Bashed Patch to work with other mods, such as the Unofficial Patch or any enemy leveling overhaul.

Incompatibility
============

I have preserved the file structure for the meshes and textures so that retextures for OCO v2 should work (in theory).   The mods New Eyes for OCO v2 and Some Eyes by monkeyangie will work, but with a few non-overlapping eye textures.  Trollberserker's Additional Beauty Pack for OCO2 Beast Races will not work, but its optional texture-replacer-only pack does.  Better OCOv2 Agemaps by DEEJMASTER333 should be compatible.

Natural Reptile Eyes for Argonians by trollberserker is not compatible, but Natural Reptile Eyes for Argonians - OCOv2 Patch by K1ngCraft is.  OCO2 Khajiit High-res Eye Textures by trollberserker is compatible if manually installed.

This mod is compatible with junkacc's Seamless mods, which should be installed after OCO v1.5 as normal.  Also compatible with BLUESNAKE's For OCOv2 - Reposition Teeth for All Races.

Any patches for OCO v2 will in all likelihood not work with this mod.  Any mods that alter the vanilla races or any NPCs will require a Bashed Patch.  Redressing Cyrodiil will require a Bashed Patch for any versions that add hairstyles.

Presumably compatible with body mods (Roberts, HGEC, etc.) by using the downloads on the OCO v2 modpage, but I have not and will not test for this.  I don't care about your titty mods.

Known Issues
===========

A few NPCs show minor clipping for the eyes or mouth.  Using BLUESNAKE's Reposition Teeth for All Races will help with the mouths at least.

Troubleshooting
=============

I am not going to provide any significant troubleshooting support for this mod.  There are numerous posts on modding forums about getting OCO to work, and the point of this mod is to reduce the need for the weekly "I can't get OCO to install correctly" posts.  If you can't get this to work using the mod manager of your choice, then I don't know what to tell you.
