This is guide how to make Oblivion stable as rock using DXVK, memory cleaner, HandleExceptions and a few OBSE patches.
NOT USE MoreHeap, OSR, Windom Earle's Oblivion Crash Prevention System and NVAC with this setup.
WARNING! This setup is incompatible with NetworkPipe and mods that use it.
First of all you need to install a few OBSE patches:
- ORC
- SkyBSA
- EngineBugFixes
- BluesEngineFixes
Than dowload archive from dowload section, unpack it to MAIN GAME FOLDER, enjoy.
Additional files are:
version.dll WSOCK32.dll - do nothing, just cut links
dxvk.conf Oblivion.dxvk-cache d3d9.dll - its DXVK 2.0 Async
winmm.dll dxwrapper.ini dxwrapper.dll - its a DxWrapper Copyright (C) 2022 Elisha Riedlinger
Ram.exe - its a free ram cleaner program EmptyStandbyList, Dxwrapper runs it on game start.
That's all. With this setup my heavy modded game can pass tac 1 on Tamriel world, have fun.
