About this mod
This Hairfix does not included Ren\'s hairs, if you don\'t want Ren\'s hairs, use this version. This mod is based on Triarii\'s Sm2.0 Hairfix, it allows hairs to display correctly on older cards that don\'t have sm2.0b or above. This is at the expense of totally customisable colours. This mod is based on Triarii's Sm2.0 Hairfix, it allows hairs to display correctly on older cards that don't have sm2.0b or above. This is at the expense of totally customisable colours. My mod attempts to add this variance of colour back into the game, to a certain degree.
NOTE; IMPORTANT THIS MOD WILL NOT WORK WITHOUT TRIARII'S SM2.0 HAIRFIX MOD

About
This mod provides a wider range of textures for Triarii's meshes. More to the point it allows you to select many different hair colours for your character, and lays ground work for individualising Npcs hair colour.
The Textures included in this mod have greater variance in tone, making for a more 'textured' hair. The technique while being unrealistic is often used on miniatures to make them seem more vivid.
I also enhanced the normal maps slightly - resizing larger, applying a sharpening filter - define it better and give more depth, and resizing it down again.
The colours are not necessarily the best, and may be replaced at a later date, its also likely that Triarii himself will release a mod like this - at this point I will remove this from availability.
Triarii is likely to have better textures than this eventually - so look out for the official Triarii mod.
I may update this if necessary with enhanced textures for Orcs and other races I have not included.
Installation
Copy all files in the zip to Oblivion/Data
This does not replace any existing files.
Download and install Triarii's sm2.0 hairfix @
http://www.tessource.net/files/file.php?id=4347external link
in data files enable Zeladins_sm2.0_Hairfix
Do not enable Triarii's esp at the same time.
* Using ShowraceMenu to select a different hair colour
hit the ¬¦` key while in game.
type showracemenu and press enter
Select the Hair menu.
The colour sliders will be disabled, instead to change hair colour scroll through the hairstyles
When you have selected the hair you want, do no exit out of the menu or close console, instead press esc and save under a new game slot, using the main menu - otherwise your stats will reset.
Issues
At the time of release I know of no major issues other than the ones mentioned by Triarii - this will not work with other hair mods, most likely.
This is from Triarii's Readme;
"Known Issues & Unfixables
Because either our cards or the Oblivion Engine can't render the shader hair, there are a few bugs
that may appear during the course of play.
1)Lighting transition can cause hair to flicker (moving from 1 light to another).
2)There is a small amount of noticable texture buildup on the hair on certain alphas. I cannot fix
this problem, as it seems to be the specular causing it.
3)The hair colour slider hasn't been disabled but has no effect, this was the main cause of the
problem in the first place. The hair now uses set colours that are NOT changable.
4)Heavy fog causes noticable glitching on the hair."
If you wish to use any of this stuff in a mod, just make sure Triarii and myself are credited. I may be contacted via PM on the official elderscrolls forum.
Also I can take no responsability for any damage this mod may potentially cause - use, as with any other mod, at your own risk.
