Short Description:

The Imperial City Arena brought to life. Adds 6 NPCs, two service givers, and immersion friendly expansions. Hundolin now has a total of 10 betting choices ranging from 25 gold to 2500. A scripted arena crowd will grow as you climb in the ranks of the arena. Additional lighting inside arena lights up when the sun starts to go down. The Bloodworks now has an animated clock, two new areas, a porter, blacksmith, and an enchanting and spellmaking alter. A new Player home, The Arena Grand Champion Suite, added as a reward for finishing the main arena quest. Lastly there are now holding cells for the beasts the Grand Champion fights. Now with COBL Patch

Long Description:


First mod in 10+ years and it started as a fairly small one, and grew to be an almost complete arena overhaul. Arena Alive is a great mod in its own right but its not compatible with Better Cities out the box. There were some choices I felt ruined immersion as well. So I decided to fix it, and it grew from there. Based on the 24HRArenaAliveV2Towers.ESP Though quite a few of its changes are no longer present.

After removing immersion breaking lighting choices, and city modification conflicts I moved on to additions. First a blacksmith, Porter like the fighters guild have, Enchanting and Spellmaking alter inside the Bloodworks. Then Arena Grand Champion Suite with display/trophy room was created. A beast holding cell with staff quarters was created lastly. Added 6 NPCs. 5 of those have full AI schedules and visit parts of the city on their breaks.

I realize a porter and blacksmith aren't both needed, but contestants fight to the death and Owyn isn't the friendliest man. It stands to reason the Imperial City would have reason to have the fighters be well stocked, and "cared" for before their fights. The porter is great for just quick repair or recharge, while the smith is a one stop shop of sorts. He only sells helmets, shields, weapons, ammo, magicka and health potions. Uses standard leveled lists, this has the benefit of integrating any mods that utilize them. He is open for business from 7 am to 11 pm. Spellmaking and Enchanting alters have Arena rank requirements for use. You must reach Warrior rank to use them. (12 Wins)

All new dialogue was generated using xVASynth 2. It was used as little as possible as to not be jarring. Only the Beastmaster, one of his apprentices, and Hundolin use it. To receive the one new topic you can read the blacksmith's note on his counter, or the notice posted beside the holding cell gate. Vanilla dialogue was modified to fit with the 24h schedule and looting of fallen opponents in the Default version.

Now has Mage of the Arena integrated. This means there is an option to get a Mage Raiment.

Bets and Match Pay:

Original Betting dialogue and figures are unaltered. Seven new betting choices have been added to the amounts of:
150, 300, 600, 1000, 1500, 2000, and finally 2500.

Gold reward for combatant fights are set to the modified Arena Alive levels.
Gold per winning: 100, 200, 500, 800, 1000, 1250, 1500, 1750, 2000, 2200, 2300, 2500, 2700, 2850, 3000, 3200, 3350, 3500, 4000, 4500, 5000.
The Grand Champion fight is 10000 gold.
(This may change to balance better if requested.)

Default vs Vanilla Modes:

As of 1.5 Arena Alive Plus now comes in two flavors. Default and Vanilla.
Default keeps the original AA 24h fighting, looting of fallen opponents, and no reset on Grand Champion matches.
Vanilla removes those changes while keeping the new betting choices and match pay scale stated above.

Compatibility Issues:

Mods that also modify the Bloodworks may/will most likely conflict. An optional fix is included for one possible issue I was messaged with. The fix and versions of the mod are modular, so you only use one ESP. If you see two cabinets beside Owyn, use the cabinet fix. This should only be necessary if you are using another mod that changes the Bloodworks interior. Any mod that changes betting values may also conflict as major dialogue changes have been made to Hundolin. If the mod does not follow vanilla dialogue topic style for changes it may be fine. This mod should be compatible with any Grand Champion Fight modifications.

Make sure you rebuild your Bashed Patch after installation to update cell changes.
Do not use Mage of the Arena with this mod as it is already integrated.

While not needed or related this mod directly, if you're using Oblivion Uncut, the spectator arena will have issues. I have a fixed esp for uncut if needed here

Installation:
BAIN friendly archive. You can install manually if you'd prefer, but I never recommend that. Place in loading order where original Arena Alive would be located (in my case just before DLCBattlehornCastle.esp) I recommend loading Better Cities (main ESPs not the BSA enabler) or other district modifications after Arena Alive Plus. If bash tags are not present use C.Regions.
