About this mod

Keep all vanilla menus, just get a bigger map.

This is a very small mod that alters only one thing from vanilla: the size of the map window. The quest logs are returned to vanilla, but every other aspect of the menus remains unchanged. This is for those people who actually like the vanilla interface, just want a bigger map...

If you have another UI installed, this mod will not revert the rest of the menus to vanilla! If you want to return to vanilla, you need to uninstall all other UI mods first.

This mod overwrites the layout of the pages under the "map" tab: the local map, the world map, and the three log pages - the log pages will be returned to vanilla, also in fonts! This is because of how Oblivion menu files are set up, I could not change only the two map pages, the logs have to come along too.

Map zoom is set with map configuration. There are three zoom levels to choose from - vanilla, 0.75 of vanilla and 0.5 of vanilla. You can only have one zoom level at a time! The files overwrite each other. The default zoom level in this mod is 0.75 of vanilla. Please see screenshots for the comparison of zoom levels.

This mod has no ESP, it just installs a few files in your Oblivion\Data\menus folder.

Requires OBSE.

May not work on Steam. See comments section for some tips from users on how to get it to work on Steam. I cannot test it.

Installation

Unpack the contents of the zip file into your Oblivion\Data folder. Restart the game.

Uninstallation

Delete one file: Data\menus\Main\map_menu.xml. The other files installed by this mod can be left behind.

Thanks and acknowledgements

This layout is derived from Major Jim's interface, and you will see the original comments in the files. However, the actual contents differs.
