I'm not sure if this is because I'm on an older version, but when I save a game while over-encumbered and then reload the save, my character can suddenly run fast again. When I remove all items in my inventory, it appears that the weight buffer doesn't decrease at all, thus my encumbrance is set to the value the mod set it to when I became over-encumbered (i.e. 569 instead of 285). I tried resetting it using console commands but no matter what I do I am stuck at the really high carry weight.
Make sure you are on the latest version to confirm it hasn't been fixed already.
But its a bit odd as mod doesn't do any permanent changes, aka on reload it has to reapply the encumbrance because the save game doesn't maintain it. Unless the mod re-applies it incorrectly on game load. Disabling SMO and reloading should restore your original encumbrance so you can save and re-enable.
I'll do some additional testing to see if I can reproduce though.
I'm unable to reproduce with current version. If you have same problem with the latest version I might need to see debug logging if there is any hints why that's happening for you.
got the same issue. took me ages to figure out it's this mod. no amount of console editing was able to change the encumbrance back to 0 from a negative number, neither did removing the mod fix it. i can't find where the debog logs are saved so i can't check
i have quite a few mods so it might be due to some weird conflict
Not sure if this is a bug or intended but I can't seem to break locks passed Average if they start at hard or higher, granted mainly seems to happen on the Ayelied casks, but have had it happen on a few wooden chest too. I can hear the click of the level dropping if I keep hitting the average chest, but the difficulty never goes lower
How did you solve the camera bug for essential player? I'm working on my own mod that requires the player to be marked as essential, however i run into the camera bug every time i attempt it.
Do i understand right that "set -1 to disable override" in settings, means that this feature will not work, and will not conflict with other mod that touch leveled lists?
It works perfectly now (it must be said I had troubles in the past with its previous versions), but it seems I've found a small compatibility issue with Automatic Attributes - Simplified Leveling mod by PushTheWinButton: if the SMO.restXP and SMO.wellRestedXP features are enabled while Automatic Attributes.esp is active in the mods list - then the Well Rested XP bonus buff renews every time when one of the PC's Attributes automatically increases after you've earned enough increases of the Skills that are under the control of the Attribute. As you can well imagine it happens not after the PC has slept but when they are actively doing something, so it's not right and the PC shouldn't get the renewal of the Well Rested bonus in this case. I've disabled these SMO features for now in order to avoid the inconsistency.
EDIT: Btw switching off the Well Rested bonus features requires a clean save without SMO if the PC is being under the buff. Otherwise it might stuck forever despite the values of both features are set to 0 in LINK and the *.ini file.
I really like this mod and wouldn't drop it from my mod list, but I would rather use Basic Physical Activities for movement and sprinting. There's no way to disable SMO's movement feature, so I wonder if there will be any conflicts which could cause problems if I use both together.
My "solution" for now was just to set up SMO's sprint key to a key I don't use and set the sprint bonus and the fatigue cost to zero.
Has anyone tried this before and experienced any problems?
Amazing mod. The only thing that bothered me is the sound that played while sprinting and after fatigue becomes zero. It took me some time to find which mod does this, so here is a solution or everybody else out there.
By default, script plays PlaySound MagicFailureSoundAlteration when sprint is over and there is no way to change it without recompiling scripts.
Author, please add cfg option to disable this effect.
Meanwhile, the solution is to replace \Data\Sound\FX\spl\fail\spl_alteration_fail.wav with whatever sound you want. I use gasping from Oblivion-Sounds.bsa sound\fx\npc\human\gasp\male\voc_gasp_male_01.wav with lowered volume in Audacity.
set SMO.bDisableSpeechWheel to 0 ;Disables the speechcraft wheel if set to 1, this makes it very difficult to level up the speech skill.
That if I disable the speachwheel like it was in Persuasion Overhaul, speech skill will be harder? Why? It wasn't harder in PO was it? (where it was disabled)
