New version for Imperial City Landscape Fix is up!
Version 1.1: Removed tiny landscape edit to cell 4,14 so the mod is now 100% compatible with the mod Region Revive - Lake Rumare. This mod must be loaded after Region Revive - Lake Rumare. Cleaned mod to remove 6 ITMs. Fixed a huge landscape issue near the city gate in the Talos District.
Out of curiosity does anyone not have one or more of these landscape issues in your game? I can't work out if all of these are really just vanilla bugs or not.
You can tell what's vanilla by loading only Oblivion.esm in the Construction Set. These were just some of the landscape editing that was never adjusted before launch (and considering the metric crapton of issues to check off with such an ambitious game, minor tweaks like this were probably very low priority).
Doesn't look like these specific edits were ever reported for the UOP, and other than the obvious overhauls like Better Cities et al., I'm only aware of a couple mods that address the canal terrain. Given how many mods are around after more than a decade, there could very well be others that have touched some or all of these, but it's hard to know which ones.
I always noticed the "dirt bumps" in the nice Imperial City pavement, and thought for years it was a feature of Better Cities. Then when I stopped using Better Cities, the bumps remained. Glad you noticed them and fixed them!
Is there any particular reason why this edits random terrain outside of the city? It makes it incompatible with a few mods, namely Region Revive - Lake Rumare.
It's a quirk from editing the interior cells. It's odd that it works that way but it cannot be avoided. It's not a problem in most cases though as tiny edits like this won't necessarily make mods incompatible. I use Region Revive - Lake Rumare my self and load this mod after with no bad side effects.
I just tried changing the load order and it doesn't seem to help. If you want to know what I'm talking about, go to the farmhouse located in the area between the west bridge and the waterfront.
Thanks! I have to say, this response is a welcome surprise. A lot of mod developers would just brush this off as an incompetent modder not knowing what they're talking about, but I appreciate that you took the time to investigate. I'll be endorsing this mod for sure.
Alright the update is up. I went around the whole Imperial Isle and didn't find any landscape issues. Can you try it out and tell me if everything is fine now?
Thanks for pointing it out. I also noticed other mistakes that I'm sure I fixed in the past. I must have uploaded the wrong esp file. I have updated the mod to fix all issues and also uploaded a new version of the mod which fixes all landscape issues in the whole of the Imperial City. Load the mod early in your load order.
Version 1.3: - Made the mod compatible with the mod Imperial City Canal Overhaul by lowering the landscape near the corner towers. Even if you don't use Imperial City Canal Overhaul it will look better. 2 new pics uploaded. Load order: Market District Landscape Fix loads before Imperial City Canal Overhaul. - Fixed a small landscape issue I had overlooked.
Notice that my other mod Street Vendors of Cyrodiil has this mod merged into it, so you can uninstall this one if you use the other one.

It's odd though. I've played the game since 2006 and only just noticed these mistakes.

It is caused by 1 tiny landscape edit in the Talos District. I'll remove my edit so the mod is compatible with Region Revive - Lake Rumare.

TES4Edit v4.04b found 6 ITM records.
Could i clean this ?
Btw I have a tiny update for this mod. I'll clean it with TES4edit before I upload.
Version 1.4:
It seems as though I had uploaded the wrong file with v1.3 so I have fixed all issues.
Made a new version of the mod called Imperial City Landscape Fix which fixes all landscape issues in the whole of the Imperial City.
Both mods are compatible with the mod Imperial City Canal Overhaul .
Notice that my other mod Street Vendors of Cyrodiil has these landscape fixes merged into it.
Enjoy!
