About this mod

Adds remodels of the townguard armours and adds a light version of the Legion cuirass. Design is based on the older "Imperial Chain Cuirass" from Morrowind. Premise is that this older design of armour was discontinued in favour of the surcoat style armours found in game. Players can still purchase this armour at the Dividing Line in Leyawiin.

Description:
Adds remodels of the townguard armours and adds a light version of the Legion cuirass.  Design was based on the older "Imperial Chain Cuirass" from Morrowind.  Premise is that this older design of armour was discontinued in favour of the surcoat style townguard armours found in game.  Militaries change their kit all the time, and players can still purchase this armour at the Dividing Line in Leyawiin as surplus.

Armour design was based on the Roman knockoff design of the original in Morrowind, but has been updated somewhat to give the appearance of it being from a later period.  It now appears to be chainmail over an arming coat/gambeson/padded armour/etc., which makes more sense (to me) than having the padding on the outside as some of the stock models.

Armour can be purchased from Tun-Zeeus at the Dividing Line in Leyawiin.  Sold as "Surplus".  It has higher stats than the standard townguard armour (let us say that Tun-Zeeus fixed them up and made improvements).
Stats are:
Weight: 15
Health: 660
Value: 450
AR: 9.5
Which puts it between Mithril and Elven, but heavier.

Known issues:
There is no female model at this point, however the esp is configured as if there was.  Female player characters will have a missing mesh error when attempting to wear the armour.  Female meshes were an afterthought, and I what I did make did reflect that, and I was not happy with the look, so I pulled them.  The good news is that when/if I do upload the female meshes, there will be no need for a new esp.
Or you can add your favourite cuirass.nif in the Data\meshes\darkcubicle\*\f directories.

Conflicts:
May conflict with other mods that change the vendor inventories at the Dividing Line.

Update 08 November 2020: New meshes using the standard/silver chainmail texture uploaded as option (Use only 1 esp file).
