If you chose to follow Diana's STEP guide, or simply added Morroblivion v0.64, you probably were desappointed by default map that looks terrrible... moreover, i couldn't find a proper map for my Tamriel Rebuilt converted to run on Oblivion engine, through Morroblivion addon. Maps all appear incomplete and not showing Tamriel surrondings.

If you chose to follow Diana's STEP guide, or simply added Morroblivion v0.64, you probably were desappointed by default map that looks terrrible... moreover, i couldn't find a proper map for my Tamriel Rebuilt converted to run on Oblivion engine, through Morroblivion addon. Maps didn't look good or appear incomplete and not showing Tamriel surronding areas. I, therefore decided to make my own map.

This mod/map aims to replace the Morroblivion default map and can be used only for this purpose. Now, if you installed Tamriel Rebuild, it will be just fine and give you precise location. The map is supposed to look like the extension of Oblivion height map when teleporting to Morroblivion world. It is thus recommended to use Height Map style mods for Oblivion. I use Tamriel Heightmap DynamicMap from Nisen and wanted my Morroblivion Map to look like it.

This map has been aligned on official TR map. Many textures made from scratch, costline and rivers have been drawn by hand.
Resolution has been upscaled to 3000ppp and then resized to 2k (maximun usable size before mis-alignment of markers)
Result is very nice and detailed, not pixalted even zoomed in by 400%

This mod has not yet been tested with Morroblivion v0.65. Latest Morroblivion release is not yet compatible with ModExporter convertion tool from PonyRider. If you installed Morroblivion v0.65, give it a try and tell me how it behaves. I will soon make it compatible if it is not already.

V1.0 : Initial Release.
v1.1 : Second release. Improved Area names rendering / Added noise filter and Optimized Sharpness / some artifacts removed / added slight vibrance for better details / typo error corrected (Vaardenfel to Vvardenfell)
V1.2 : Final Release. Coastline noise and lots of bad pixels removed, some more noise removed, mainly in the sea and river sides. Added missing Firewatch location text. Optional Solstheim Castle (ported mod from Morrowind) location addition on the map.




Installation :

Archive is BAIN ready so you'd better use WryeBash to install this mod. Map from Core folder has been compressed to B8G8R8A8 format for better quality but this can lead to some weird glowing issue. If this happens, use Map from Optional folder, it is compressed using DXT1 format and will be compatible at the cost of a very little loss in quality.

Or, just extract Data folder directly to your game root folder. Overwrite existing Morroblivion default map.
