Suggestion : adding the mehrune's razor DLC quest to the list since it uses the daedra icon :)
I'm going to do it for myself but I'm leaving this here so maybe it can be added in future versions.

    Hey Dispensation
I'm following your guide and upon installing this (with MO2, though I don't think it would matter) the Main Quest with the red/default option doesn't add the required texture folder.
I checked the wizard and there's this  «"|Red", "default", "Wizard Images\\mq.png",\» which i assume the «|» is what's messing it up. If you check what the wizard ticked with your choices you'll notice that rather easily (how I realised it) but it's easy slip past more inatentive players.

    Spoiler:
    Show
I'll take this opportunity to ask if there's anything i should take care to do/not do while following your guide + Better Cities + Unique Landscapes as conflicts/compatibility/stability goes?
    Thanks in advance

MO2 is inferior in its wizard.txt installations compared to Wrye Bash. I've noticed that MO2 also couldn't install Cobl correctly with the wizard. So the problem is likely MO2.

I don't have any advice for Better Cities and Unique Landscapes and don't really recommend them. I am starting to like the HESU Mod Collection.

All other options worked perfectly and I thought the | was a typo. But now I checked ahead and the default options all have it. My bad. Might want to caution MO2 users on the guide to check for such things to prevent further "complaints"

MO2 to me seems to only have problems with installers that output IniEdit files which causes it to crash. Restarting it is all that's needed since the installation works correctly apart from having to do the edits manually (which I'd say I prefer anyway).

I'll be giving HESU a go too since mhaan was kind to make all those patches :)
(well, except Seaside Settlement since UL+ReclaimSancreTor+Kragenir's+Seaside was beyond what a patch could achieve i guess and, btw, GreatForestGorge's load order needs to be after RRLakeRumare which neither LOOT or BOSS have it correct if I'm not mistaken)

Yeah well,Dispensation's guide makes use of Wrye Bash,so I really don't think they should "caution MO2 users" of anything. Besides, most comments I read about stuff not working  are related to MO2 and how it handles some stuff (dlls, obse, distant lod and landscape lod, running 3rd party programs from within it,and so on,and so on,and so on.....)

Since he does allude to it in WB section and there is some advice on MO2 (DarN UI, BSA decomp, OBSE/LOD generation) i thought it might be something to consider.
Just as a general warning: "Installation on MO2, although technically compatible, may result in some missed files or extra steps being needed. If you feel something failed on your end, check the modpage's post tab for if that's a known issue and how you may be able to solve it. Please don't bother me or mod creators on installation failure with a mod manager which wasn't in mind at the time of creating either resource."
Something shorter would be best perhaps. I feel others more used to modding skyrim would want to keep the "MO2 for installation and WB for bashed patch" practice and assume, as I did, that since you can install with either, it shouldn't matter which one you choose as long as you follow order and whatnot.

You can always try the 'FOMOD' version on the original Colored Quests page. Let me know how it goes.

FWIW I can confirm this mod doesn't install properly with MO2. (I get no icons at all for the main quests; checking the mod installation, I see the relevant textures aren't installed.) I've had a pretty good response from notifying the MO2 team about installers that MO2 doesn't handle, so I put a note on the Discord about this one. In the meantime, I know enough to "deconstruct" the installer and place the relevant files manually. (If you just open the archive in 7zip or similar, the folder structure's pretty obvious.)

So I know why the installer in MO2 doesn't like it. MO2 ls apparently case sensitive The folder is called "000 Main - red" but the wizard tries to select "000 Main -Red" which apparently causes the issue becuase MO2 doesn't find "000 Main - Red"

    Hi.

As much as this mod is nice in theory and well, it does what it says, it is the reason why my game crashes on startup. Sometimes it will work, aye, and the game will load, but the mod will cause subsequent crashes. Uninstalling it definitely fixed the problem.

I cannot with certainty say it is not a conflict (though I do not see why it would be on my side, save for using quest log manager) but I recommend to anyone installing this to keep an eye on and be wary, uninstall if you run into problems just to test if this mod is causing it.

    Otherwise nice mod.

I don't experience that, and I deactivate the ESPs and import them into the bashed patch.

No idea why, but it's not working for me.
I got it sorted by BOSS, rebuilt Bashed patch, plugin icon in WB tells that records are imported (dot icon) and yellow plugin name, but none of the icons are colored, all are default blue. Not even icons from Mages/ Fighters Guild Quests mods are changed.
When loaded all mods in Tes4Edit all appears ok, even though it's not imported into bashed patch, all is loaded last, so there should be no problem to be loaded into the game. I even tried to have these esps loaded last, after bashed patch, but still no difference in-game.
    Help.

Try using PBash instead of CBash, if you are. CBash can't import NoMerge mods correctly.

Using PBash, instead of CBash worked, thanks.

So google returned no results when searching, there is no mention of "PBash" or "CBash" on the Nexus page, nor on the GitHub Readme, nor any mention at the Wrye Bash Advanced Readme; and I do see it mentioned on your description page and have seen others talk about it, so I don't doubt that it is real, but ...

What is PBash or CBash?  The P and C obviously stand for something.  I see no mention of these terms inside Wrye Bash either (I am using 309.1)
How do I switch 'modes'?  How do I tell which 'mode' my bashed patch was made with?

I ask these questions because I am unable to see certain icons when using my bashed patch.  I could just redo the whole patch and leave the colored icon esps separate I guess, but I see that LuxDivinity was able to get "PBash" to work.  Plus I am invested in my character now...  But If I have to rebuild the patch by switching 'modes'; would I not have to start a new playthrough anyway?  Will some of the records in the bashed patch not be different?

CBash no longer exists and was removed from Wrye Bash. All bashed patches from v309 and onwards are made in PBash, and that is the only option available.

It just means my icons are missing for a different reason.

I never quite got why the original mod changed the quests to point to images rather than just editing the images themselves.

It could be so other modders could use those icons for new quests without them using the retextured variants from this mod that replaced them all.

so I'm using MO2 (I know) which doesn't support Wrye Bash's bain wizard.

If I understand correctly this mod only adjust some things in the esps for compatibility right? Could I just pick the 3 esp's from this mod to replace the original ones, keep the original textures and it should be fine?

    Thanks :)

You need the ESPs and the new textures otherwise the ESPs will point to non-existent textures in your directory and you will get blank quest icons.

This is a great mod but idk if i can use Pbash as I got a mod by arthmoor (oblivion dlc delayers) which says it requires Cbash to work. Does this mean if i switch to pbash itll break that mod or can I use cbash for that first and then pbash for this? Sorry if a dumb question.

Go ahead and grab the WIP build from the Wrye Bash Discord. That version allows PBash to merge all record types, making CBash redundant.

You will need to use Wrye Bash to install this. There is an NMM version on the original mod page though I'm not sure how good it is.
