Introduction:
Equimanus is the arcane art of equipping weapons and gear by sorcery. Rings of Equimanus can record and instantly equip entire outfits of gear, allowing adventurers to quickly swap between different outfits, including weapons, apparel, and jewelry. Seek out the old elf Kordiir, southwest of Sanguine's Shrine to discover the sorcery of Equimanus.

Features
:
-Useful rings to save and quickly re-equip full outfits of gear
-Can save armor, clothes, rings, amulets, and weapons as part of the outfits
-Full quest to introduce the rings to the player
-Lore friendly story
-Fully voiced new NPC and NPC home

Detailed Description
:
This mod introduces a utility item to Oblivion: the rings of Equimanus. These rings allow players to save and quickly switch between full sets of gear, including weapons, rings, amulets, clothing, and/or armor. The rings of Equimanus do not take up a ring slot, meaning they can be worn in addition to the standard amount of 2 rings, which means that you can save rings as parts of your outfits. Only one ring of Equimanus can be worn at a time however (it is in fact impossible to equip more than one, so there shouldn't be any problems here). By saving different outfits on different rings of Equimanus, players can create, edit, and quickly switch between their most used outfits of gear.
These rings are introduced to the player through a quest (read below on how to begin the quest). For detailed information on how to use the rings, read the in game book On Equimanus, which can be acquired from Kordiir for free or purchased from First Edition in the Imperial City Market District.

Requirements
:
You must obviously have TES IV: Oblivion installed. Any version of the game should be fine, the DLC is not required.
OBSE v0021 or higher is required.  Download and install it from the OBSE website prior to installation: http://obse.silverlock.org/

Installation
:
First ensure OBSE v0021 or higher is installed as detailed above. To install The Rings of Equimanus, simply extract the contents of the archive into your Data folder. Specifically, the "The Rings of Equimanus.esp" file must be placed in the Data folder of your Oblivion installation, as must the Sound folder and its contents (which should merge with any existing Sound folder in your Data folder). The mod will still run without the sounds installed, but the dialogue will not be voiced without them.

Uninstalling
:
To uninstall, simply delete the "The Rings of Equimanus.esp" esp file in the Data folder and the folder "The Rings of Equimanus.esp" located under Oblivion > Data > Sound > Voice

Starting the Quest
:
To begin the quest, you have two options. You may purchase and read the book On Equimanus from the First Edition book shop in the Imperial City Market District, or you can travel directly to Kordiir's house, which is just south-southwest of the Shrine of Sanguine (north of Skingrad) and speak with Kordiir.

Known Bugs and Incompatibilities
:
The primary known bug is that the rings cannot save arrows as parts of outfits. I have spent countless hours trying to get various OBSE scripting commands to work to save and load arrows as parts of builds, but have been unable to get anything to work. If you think you can help me figure this out, please contact me (see contact section below). The problem was that no matter what I tried, the ring would only requip one single arrow (instead of the stack of arrows) to player, which was more annoying than useful, so I took it out completely. The best work-around I could come up with to try to help my fellow archers out is that the ring will at least remember whether you had arrows equipped as part of the setup, and if you did, it will not unequip any arrows that you had on before re-equipping the ring. Apologies for the inconvenience, I really tried getting this to work.
The only known incompatibilities are any mods which change the First Edition vendor in the Imperial City (to which the Rings of Equimanus quest book "On Equimanus" has been added) or the space where Kordiir's house is located (on a hill south-southwest of the Shrine of Sanguine).
I do not know how mods which change the maximum number of rings or amulets a player can equip would work with this mod. It is possible that the rings of Equimanus would not save any rings or amulets equipped when used in conjunction with these mods, depending on how they are implemented. But, again, this is not something I have tested. Feel free to leave comments confirming whether these types of mods are compatible or not.

This mod was created by Stuart Roland. This is a project I have been thinking about for many, many years now, and one I started working on over 2 years ago. I consider it my way of giving back, at least in a small way, to the amazing Elder Scrolls modding community, which has given me endless support, solidarity, and amazing content to play over the last decade. This community is what has kept me playing these games for the better part of my life.
Special thanks to Pascal Poulose for being the voice of Kordiir.
Many thanks to the community members and groups that have created all the modding resources, including OBSE and its documentation, the Elder Scrolls Construction Set Wiki, Nexus Mods, TES Alliance, and the Construction Set Extender.
