About this mod

This is a stand-alone translation of the mod created by akkaFUKU, which allows you to change an armor or clothing item's type in-game. Change clothes into heavy armor, change the equip slot of your sunglasses or backpack.

Requirements
Permissions and credits
The original mod in Japanese can be found here. However, it is not required.

I simply translated the Japanese text found in the scripts. Below is my translation of the original readme, including some edits by me for clarity.

◆◆◆Description◆◆◆

This mod allows you to change your Apparel items to or from Light Armor, Heavy Armor, Clothing or even change the equipment slot in-game.

◆◆◆Requirements◆◆◆

Oblivion Script Extender (OBSE) version 20 and up.
http://obse.silverlock.org/

Translator's notes: The original mod by akkaFUKU is not required! The translations were done entirely within the mod itself via its scripts, and therefore it is standalone. The mod also notably does not require Oblivion.esm, and is therefore compatible with Nehrim and similar full conversion games. Also, as always, use the latest available version of OBSE.

◆◆◆How to Use◆◆◆

An item called "Armor Type Changer" will be added automatically into your inventory.

If you use it from your inventory, a dialog prompt will guide you on what to do next.

▼Light Armor
Changes the item into Light Armor.

▼Heavy Armor
Changes the item into Heavy Armor.

▼Clothing
Changes the item into Clothing.

▼Change Equipment Slot
You can choose to change an item's equipment slot (for example, wear a ring on your feet). (Stats only, no visuals.)

Translator's notes: The slot changer behaves in a strange way. I don't recommend using it. If you must, save before making any edits. If you switch an item from amulet to tail so you can use a different amulet, for example, the original item seems to maintain the amulet slot anyway, so you can't equip the second item at the same time as the first anyway. Unfortunately the actual scripting is still sort of a mystery to me, so I don't know yet how to fix it. All I did was translate the text. Anyway for now just avoid using it unless you're sure you want to try it out.

※WARNING
Quest items and scripted items will not appear in the list, and can't be edited by this mod.

●Settings When Changing Clothing into Armor
You can adjust the stats of clothes when you change them into armor.
In particular, you can change the armor rating and durability.
The price and weight will remain the same as when they were clothes.

* The actual final armor rating is influenced by your Light Armor/Heavy Armor skill level.
If your skill level is low, even if you set it to 10, for example, it'll be less than 10 (as set by Oblivion's armor rating calculation system).

●Settings When Changing Armor into Clothing
The price and weight will not change.
Defense and durability will be lost (in line with all Clothing, as set by Oblivion).
