About this mod

Pluginless replacer for all crosshair icons or just for the default one. Comes in two sizes - vanilla or reduced.

Permissions and credits
This mod replaces the crosshair with an Oht, Daedric "O", Oblivion gate symbol, or whatever you call it. Why? Because after many months of playing Morrowind with this, after briefly returning to Oblivion I decided that I need a similar thing here.

The dot is always exactly in the center of the screen. I've tested this mod with using a bow and a fireball and so far I've encountered no aiming issues whatsoever.

Looks the same with or without ENB, unless you have some UI-specific shader.

Colors:
- brown, mostly transparent - default crosshair when not pointing at anything specific.
- silver - activate (grab, use, sit, sleep, talk, etc.)
- silver with reddish shade - steal
- golden - talk to an essential NPC
- dark red - feed on a sleeping NPC as a vampire
- blue with dashes on both sides - sneak

Available options:
- full replacer (looks better, in my opinion)
- replacer only for the default crosshair
Both variants in the size of vanilla crosshair, or scaled down to around 60% of original size.

Installation
Recommended manual installation. Pick the version you want and drag the two folders - Menus and Textures - into your Oblivion/Data folder.

(Before you install this mod, you might want to backup your hud_reticle.xml file, if you have it - it's in Oblivion/Data/Menus/Main. Simply add a .bak at the end of the filename, or make an extra copy. There is no need to backup your current crosshair .dds file.)

Removal
Delete the files of this mod from your Oblivion/Data folder.

Compatibility
This mod is compatible with anything that does not alter the UI. Compatible with DarNifiedUI - thanks for the confirmation. As for other UI mods  - go ahead and check it yourself, then you can tell me the results.
