Hi, is there any alternative of this mod without the unoficial patch ? Because I'm using another unoficial french patch. ( https://oblimods.wiwiland.net/spip.php?article11 )
Thank you.
Edit: francesco's mod do the same thing than this mod ?
Well, if you thought you should have all the DLCs, as PushTheWinButton thought, when he wrote:
However, you realize, that you don't have them and wonder why. Here may be why and how to get it easily:
Even if you have the GOTY (Game of the Year) Edition from Steam, it doesn't contain those DLC's. And even if you heard some time ago, that they were no longer available from Bethesda and so never bothered with it, as I had, but now I actually cared and searched a bit what's truely the case, because I wanted to install this mod and not miss on anything. And here's what I figured out.
Even if you can't get the individual DLC's anymore as standalone, there is also a GOTY Deluxe available and this version, contains them all. Even if they are not officially called like people call them, they have the DLC files by these names. Now, if it may be too expensive on Steam (19,99 EUR here at the moment), GOG may have this version cheapier (I just got it for 3,99 EUR - a nobrainer). If you now think "But I don't want the GOG version, it's harder to mod"... Don't worry!. Install the GOG version, and just copy the missing .esp & .bsa files, from the GOG installation over to your Steam installation, and mark them in the Data files of the Oblivion Launcher. Done! Now you can delete the GOG version again.
Remember, to install/activate DLC files also for other modules already installed, like from the Unofficial DLC Patches, which you may have missing in your previous mod setup.
They shouldn’t be selling the non-deluxe version as far as I’m concerned, because it’s tricked many people into buying the game twice.
Why would you not just play your GOG version, though? It’s better, since it’s got no DRM and comes pre-patched with the 4GB patch. It’s probably easier to mod than the Steam version, if anything.
Yeah, I removed Oblivion GOTY from my library & replaced it with a legit key for GOTY Deluxe. That fixed it for me. Wasn't impressed at all. Bethesda are lazy & ignorant, as always. Hey Todd, if you're reading this, you guys suck.
I think there is a bug with Swamp Troll (0000BED2) in Swampy Cave, I did the quest at level 22 and all of the trolls were level 6 with 78 health. It seems too easy to be the intended effect.
Sorry, I know this is a big/unnecessary ask, but is there any way to use this mod without any of the official DLC packs? I own all of the DLCs but I want to go back to March 20, 2006 and experience the game without any DLC. Thank you for your time :)
Is it just me or mid-to-high tier creatures seem to have quite high health bar? As a lv 13 archer, if I meet two mountain lions in a cave and manage to only put one sneak attack (which is usually the case with caves, since I can't put much distance between myself and the enemies to stay hidden) my only chance of winning the fight is either spam potions or find a high spot enemies can't reach me.
Nope, but that feature is included in Ascension. This mod adds caps to enemy stats so that they don’t continuously level with the player and become damage sponges.
So whenever I try to run the game with this mod active, my game crashes on start up. I have the unofficial patch and have it loaded before this mod, but it still crashes. Do you have any fixes?
I noticed that the painted trolls become too easy with this mod at higher levels. The turpentine item that you're given in the quest scales depending on the PC level, so they should ideally match, either the turpentine leveled list should be changed or the trolls should have a higher ceiling to keep up with high-level turpentine.

Thank you.
Also Wrye merges this into the Bashed Patch - I assume that's ok?
