Hello and thank you for viewing! This mod adds two carts and an outdoor cave not far from Faregyl inn, with 8 adoptable creature companions for you to take in!

The khajiit is named J'sha and she will sell adoption papers to you as long as she's inside of her trailer. The second trailer is just meant for food storage for herself, the creatures she's trying to find homes for and her pahmer companion. She is not open on sundays as she goes to Bravil to stock up on supplies, a good way to check if she's gone to Bravil is check around the trailers for the massive tiger, as he goes with her if she leaves to Bravil.

I tried to do something different with this instead of just tossing free followers in random places, as this way you have to pay a pretty septim for your new friend! (There's debug options too don't worry I'm not that insane)

The papers, once bought, will then have to be dropped to the ground, then picked up again. After this you should get a key to the door of said adopted pet and the message 'thank you for adopting!' As a suggestion, I would say it's best to drop it in the tavern nearby so you don't lose it in her trailer or outside.

Another suggestion would be to never hit the pahmer, he's not very forgiving on accidental hits... I originally wanted to have a few Pahmer out but they fought anytime they accidentally hit each other so yeah... Just one massive one now lol. He's essential so if some big bad monster attacks the adoption trailer he'll have zero issue taking care of it.

Below I'll list the name of each adoptable creature and what you need to know about them:

I tried to keep them all with as equal stats as possible, though some are faster than others regardless, each of them also comes with their own lesser power and their own passive ability. They all also have a passive slow heal over time and are immune to disease. They all also come with a call spell in case you lose them, granted as soon as you click on them and all of them are essential.

Finn: He's the large wereshark, pretty annoyingly slow on land but I suppose we all should be glad he can walk at all. Underwater however he's quite quick! Good for bringing with you if you're like me and hate underwater combat alone. He is able to breathe underwater and silence magical foes.

Dusty: This fella is the wee brown gremlin guy, fairly average in notes wise, he should be able to keep up with you just fine in both land and water. He's able to put a long lasting slow burn effect on enemies while having a passive fire shield himself.

Hopper: This adorable frog is one of the fastest companions, his hop so quick he can even sometimes hop on the surface of water! But don't worry he can still swim fine if needed. He's fairly resistant to poison while being able to give a toxic effect on touch to enemies, damaging their health and putting them in a frenzy.

Lickie: The Chameleon! Sadly this little guy can't run, but he's probably the fastest Chameleon most of us have seen! Still he will likely lag behind the swifter runners and impatient owners. He also never learned how to swim, so he'll just chill at shore until you come back or he can go around. Lickie is able to turn 100% chameleon for a short while, meanwhile, he may be slow, but he's steady, having strong resistance to paralyzing effects.

Plum: He's a banekin, but seemingly friendly unless attacked. He's pretty small and his wings seem to be just to add to his cuteness factor, but he can really shock an area, literally! He can also regain his magicka faster than most to do so again.

Shadow: No one... is really quite sure what Shadow is, except for creepy. The sounds he omits is similar to a ghost, while he seemingly floats in the air with his spooky tentacles. He seems nice though and will fiercely defend his new owner with his ability to reflect spells back at enemies, while spitting a harsh damaging magic ball.

Snapper: The largest of the creatures, Snapper is a towering werecroc able to damage enemy armor and having a decent defense against normal weapons. He is pretty big and might have minor issues getting through tight areas. If requested I can make him smaller.

Spike: This is an interesting creature, covered in spikes with grey skin and his spine showing a bit. We don't suggest petting him but those spikes do reflect attacks back at enemies. He can also put up a magical shield.

Known bugs:
The creatures are known to escape their enclosures which is annoying but something I haven't been able to fully fix, sorry. If you can't find them in their kennels just look around the outside of the cave.

J'Sha doesn't always follow her daily route to the T, which can sometimes make it hard to find her... If all else fails, the board in her trailer with the keys hanging off it, this has all keys. Alternatively the fences are pretty short as it is, one could probably jump over them and click the creatures without the keys at all. Normally if buying them was a flawless situation I would have made them more enclosed but as it is it can be hard, lovely Oblivion AI lol.

Not all the creatures have swimming animations so sometimes they just 'walk' underwater, it works fine but it looks weird.

The hairbrush caused me a minor drop in FPS whenever I looked at it, but then returned to normal when I looked away. There's a optional ESP in the download that replaces the hairbrush with another harmless flower pot if you don't want the FPS drop/have the same problem I do. Maybe not everyone will have this issue so...

Q&A

Q: I can't find J'Sha anywhere!
A: She may either be inside the tavern eating, sitting outside in her chair or off to Bravil getting supplies. I suggest just leaving and coming back later.

Q: I see J'Sha but she won't sell to me!
A: If she's outside, on the road to Bravil or in the tavern, she won't sell her stuff. You have to wait until she's inside her trailer, I suggest wating until around noon as both morning and evening she's sitting outside or eating.

Q: I can't find the creature I adopted!
A: Look around the outside of the cave

Q: Finn is a missing mesh/missing skeleton/something else majorly wrong!
A: If you tell me in the comment section, I'll look into it anyway but it's likely because you don't have Shivering Isles, as he uses the same animations from that DLC.

Q: I hit my pet a few times and now it's attacking me.
A: Hit the console, usually the ~ key, click on him, then type 'stopcombat' then hit enter. It should stop attacking you then.

Q: I lost my pet and can't find him anywhere!
A: Use the lesser power in your spellbook to get him back

Q: I bought the adoption papers but I have no key!
A: As I said, drop the papers on the ground and then pick them back up again. You should get a key then.

Q: Why does J'Sha look so different in your screenshots than in my game?
A: Mods, or lack of them, she's vanilla Khajiit so any mods you have will affect her. I'm too lazy to uninstall my mods so... sorry.

If you guys have any other questions feel free to ask! Or if you found a new bug/issue please tell me and I will fix it ASAP.
