About this mod

Adds 16 hunters camps to Cyrodiil

Requirements
Permissions and credits
Welcome to the 38th installment of my Oblivion Immersion Series.

"Nobody goes into the mountains but hunters and thieves on the lam.  Food and shelter is hard to come by."

- Many, many NPCs

...Uh, where are those hunters then?  Plenty of thieves, to be sure, but nary a hunter in sight.  So, inspired by Skyrim (I've always appreciated the presence of hunters in the wilderness of Skyrim: it made the world feel more inhabited) and this random line of dialogue, this mod adds a total of 16 fishermen/hunters camps to Cyrodiil.  Some of the NPCs at these camps will act as food and ingredient merchants.  In addition, 10 sets of hunters with partners or dogs have been added to the wilderness, separate from any hunter camps, though these NPCs will not serve as merchants.

Requirements
===========

Oblivion Version 1.2.0416

Installation Instructions
===================

Copy contents into your Oblivion data folder. To switch to one of the UL compatibility plugins, delete the original esp file and install the alternative of your choice.  You will still need the original file for the meshes and textures.

Uninstallation Instructions
=====================

Delete the plugin, meshes, and textures

Incompatibility
============

Should be compatible with the following UL mods: Blackwood Forest, Fallenleaf Everglade,  Imperial Isle,  Eastern Peaks, the Heath, River Ethe, and Colovian Highlands

Not compatible with the following UL mods: Ancient Yews, Panther River, Bravil Barrowfields, Lush Woodlands and Snowdale.

See Optional Files for details.

Optional Files
===========

Two alternative plugins ensure compatibility with Unique Landscapes.

The UL compatibility plugins correct these by offering alternative plugins:

I discovered that my previous claim that the main plugin was compatible with Lush Woodlands is incorrect: there was some landscape tearing that I didn't notice the first time around.  So, the Nobody Goes into the Mountains but Hunters - Lush Woodlands Compatible version reworks the two sites in the Great Forest to conform to the landscaping in Lush Woodlands.  Use this file in substitution for the original version only if you are running Lush Woodlands.

The Nobody Goes into the Mountains but Hunters - UL Comp Compatible version is designed to maximize compatibility with UL.  The two camps that clash with Ancient Yews and Bravil Barrowfields have been relocated to Lake Rumare because their compatibility issues were significant enough to warrant a full relocation. The two camps that clash with Panther River and Snowdale, which had fewer problems, were rearranged slightly to better work with the landscape.  The Lush Woodlands adjustments are incorporated as well.

So, the "too long; didn't read" version is: use this if you are running a UL compilation mod or at minimum are running Panther River, Snowdale, and Lush Woodlands.

Known Issues
===========

I have found some mild AI issues, primarily that I can't get the NPCs to properly hunt deer.
