MOO Themed Loading Screens

· - = | Description | = - ·

This mod adds 55 loading screens to the game that talk about features of Maskar's Oblivion Overhaul.

Some examples:
Treasure maps show the locations of hidden chests. When you're at the right spot, start hitting the ground with a pickaxe to dig up the treasure.
A Magnifying Glass can be used to track tamed creatures, your horse and any other followers you might have.
An actor that has been hit with a very effective weapon type will glow white for a short moment.
Being under the effect of a light spell will stop a vampire from regenerating health.
You can use a Hand Scythe if you want to harvest many ingredients at once.

Those loading screens are not dynamic (that's not possible), which means even if you've disabled a feature of MOO the loading screen will still appear.
If that bothers you, open the mod in xEdit and delete the loading screen you don't want.

None. Not even MOO, if for some reason you want those without actually running MOO.

You can choose between several variants of the mod:

No Pics, uses the vanilla loading screen graphic paths. This version is only an esp and should work with most interfaces that just replace the vanilla loading screens. If they add any new ones, you have to try if it still works. For example, it wouldn't work with any Themed Loading Screen Replacers.
You can use this version if you have an interface mod that is not listed here (for example Community Loading Screens), or if you don't want any new pictures.

New Pics Vanilla Style, adds new pictures in the style of vanilla loading screens.

New Pics DarkUI Style, adds new pictures in the style of DarkUI, with a dark red background and border in vanilla size.

New Pics Themed Vanilla Style, adds new pictures in the style of Themed Loading Screen Replacer by trollf. All themed replacers feature a larger image.

New Pics Themed Dark Style, adds the same pictures, but with a dark red border and background to fit in with Themed Loading Screens for Dark UI by khalim91.

New Pics Themed OA_Dark Transparent, adds the same pictures, but with the dark grey leather border of OA_Dark Transparent UI.

New Pics Northern UI Style, adds the same pictures without any frames to fit in with the NorthernUI loading screens.

You need to pick a version that matches the loading screens of your game! The text on the loading screens will always be at the same position. If for example you install the Themed version on a vanilla interface, the text will be out of place.

Not everything seen on those screen shots is part of MOO. I play a game with a lot of mods and those are mostly my regular pictures I take while playing.

Copy the contents of the archive into the Oblivion/Data Folder. Please use a mod manager for this, my favourite is Wrye Bash, but every mod manager should be able to handle this file.

It contains the following files and folders:

MOO Loading Screens - Vanilla.esp or MOO Loading Screens - New Pics.esp
docs/MOO Loading Screens - Readme.txt
textures/Menus/Loading/MOOLoadingScreens (only if using a variant with new pictures)

Activate the .esp in a game launcher of your choice.

If you intend to use the upscaled version by mark12000 from here, you can download the file from the optional section which includes only the esp, so you don't have to download the textures twice. Obviously only use the ESP ONLY file if you will be using the upscaled version!

Delete all the files listed above which will be conveniently easy if you've used a mod manager.

Maskar's Oblivion Overhaul, for obvious reasons.
