For whatever reason I can't get this mod to work; the modified textures never show up in my game. I've tried installing SkyBSA and disabling BSA direction in Wrye Bash, and I've tried installing the textures manually as well, but neither method works. Is there something I'm missing?
Is Oblivion/Steam installed in a protected folder such as Program Files? If so, you'll probably want to move to somewhere like C:\Games\Oblivion. User Account Control or UAC makes things difficult for modding in general.
Okay, that should be fine considering how the steam folder structure operates. The other thing would be to check your install order and make sure this mod overwrites anything else that conflicts with it. In Wrye Bash under the installers tab, you sort mods based which ones you want to win conflicts. You'll want make sure the package has a higher number count (towards the end) so that it overwrites any files found in the conflicts sub-tab on the right side. During this process of sorting some mods will turn yellow, indicating they need to be annealled to reflect the current install order. I usually sort mine closer to the STEP Guides for skyrim as it will give you an idea on how sort your mods.
The textures look really beautiful and the rustic style is also very atmospheric and fitting but there is sadly an issue with dark rectangles appearing on some walls:
Hello, nice mod, but don't you mean Rus-style huts? When there were such huts in what is now known as Ukraine it was Rus, Ukraine is like 30 year old state.
If I may offer a suggestion, give the description at least a little more attention (for ALL these mods). TES-Diesel does quality work that fits in easily to almost any mod list, but it isn't always clearly communicated just what the mod is doing. At any rate, there is goodness to be had here. Its absolutely worth giving a shot
Heya, I don't understand if this is lore-friendly and they re-do the textures as they are in the game, or they get changed. Your reference to real life (ukraine) makes me undecided.

Is there anything you could do about that?
RunaUlfgar's other texture mod TD_Tombstones retextures also looks very good.
The Kievan state? That one, which in 12th cent. allready called in some chronicles Ukraine?
Yes, that's not the Russia, 30 years old state
The mod is great!

I do not understand what you mean. The screenshots show new textures, and they differ from the original ones...
