This mod alters the dialogue option to choose to settle down with your spouse in your Imperial City schack, and changed the IC house AI packages to take place around markers that can be placed in custom homes for better compatibility. You get a spell with options upon loading the game.
The reason why I changed the option to live in the IC house was because, well, why would your spouse want to live in a filthy schack which was built for one person? But should you think otherwise, you can always place markers in the same home again. An immersive thing about the Wandering marker option is that you can place it in the location where you know your spouse does their daily habitat, especially if that's close to your home.
Known issue: Spouses might leave the custom home when picking their sleep package, it's because most NPC's refuse to sleep in beds that are owned by the player. To fix this, open the console, click on the bed and enter "clearownership" without the quotes. Alternatively, if you are against using console commands, you may as well want to check out my older mod Assign Faction Ownership to Beds
