About this mod

Boosts the armor stats to have better defense as well as removing enchantments so that you can place the ones you want.

Permissions and credits
What bugged me about the armor was not just how weak it was  but getting stuck with enchantments you may not want (I mean the Emperor and Legendary Champions wore it so how can it be so weak!?). I wanted to put my own enchantments with the sigil stones I had and as such I figured everyone else would like to enjoy this.

In addition to unenchanting the armor the stats were altered to the following:

Heavy Armor
  • Helmet: 8
  • Cuirass: 20
  • Gauntlets: 8.5
  • Greaves: 12
  • Boots: 9
  • Total: 56

Light Armor
  • Helmet: 6
  • Cuirass: 14
  • Gauntlets: 6
  • Greaves: 8
  • Boots: 6
  • Total: 40

The Heavy Armor set is slightly stronger than Daedric and the Light Armor set is slightly stronger than the Glass Armor set (both 5 points over).

Update: I've updated the HP values of the armor in a similar manner to their armor (original request from tinnyfarts). The math I used behind this change was that I calculated the value of the light and heavy Imperial Dragon Armor with the Glass and Daedric armor (respectively) and used that to make similar changes to the HP.

So basically, the light version was 114.29% more effective than Glass in terms of armor so the Health is also 114.29% of the Glass armor (this means the HP value is 14.29% more than that of Glass armor however I rounded down so that the value either ended in 5 or 0 as the other armors do). The heavy armor version was 109.8% more effective than Daedric in terms of armor so the health is also 9.8% higher than Daedric armor.

I've updated the file and put it up as Version 1.1

Update after many years: A few things:

1) I realize I messed up the file header version, that's fixed. If you were having issues installing it should be fine now.

2) If you're installing this with Vortex/MO2 you shouldn't have an issue but if you do I'd recommend you either use OBMM/NMM/Wrye Bash OR you just manually extract the file and place the esp into your data folder. Uninstalling is as simple as just removing the file. There shouldn't be an issue if you uninstall mid-game. In case something weird does happen just replace the set with another one via the console.

3) The gold value of the armor was increased (method was to round up gold value of Daedric armor to the nearest thousand or 500 (e.g. 1350 to 1500 or 2500 to 3000)). The purpose of this is more for your eyes/head-cannon as it might seem strange such great armor costs as much as a sword found in the arena.

4) I realized that I used weight values from mdczer's Lighter Gear mod when I made the mod so if you're not using that the weight values would seem oddly light. As such there are now 3 different versions you may install (please only use one otherwise they'll just overwrite each other based on load order config).

The final versions:

Lighter Gear version: This version will resemble weight values found in the Lighter Gear mod for Daedric/Glass armor (e.g. Heavy chest is 20, heavy greaves are 10, and heavy gauntlets are 5 whereas the Light chest is 10, light greaves are 5, and light gauntlets are 1) however all other mod changes are included.

Accurate Weight version: This version will use vanilla weights based on Daedric/Glass armor (heavy/light) for the Imperial Dragon Armor however all other mod changes are included.

Vanilla Weight version: This version will keep the vanilla Imperial Dragon Armor weight however all other mod changes are included.
