This mod looks amazing, just the kind of thing I'd like, but unfortunately Roads of Cyrodil takes precedence for me. I would 100% download and endorse if there was a patch... unfortunately I know nothing about landscape edits or I'd patch it myself. Edit: I changed my mind - ROC ended up having far too many incompatibilities for someone like myself who downloads waaaay too many mods.
Hello, is this mod realistic? I mean would the player realize by himself that these houses are "free" to take for him? I'm asking from an immersion perspective.
Because if I knew the coordinates of the houses added by this mod, I would know they are free to use for the player. But would my character also know\realize it?
Good question. Mandrake Hall is buyable, and the farmhouse is 'Abandoned', so these two would be 'realistic'. The Sewers 'Hideout' may ring a bell too, but what the player can do with the Old Shed, the Niben Cave and the Blackthorne remains unclear. If and when an update is in order I'll think about it. Thanks.
I was referring to a way to make us buy or simply find new houses (you don't have to add new ways, I guess even a popup could be enough) so I can remove 8-10 of my modded houses
This is probably very late but. Can I get a clue to the location of the Upper Niben River Cave key? I already found the "cave" but I cannot find the key for the life of me. I have no idea if you will see this but the mod is fantastic and is very lore friendly. Thanks.
By far the most official vanilla like content, you've got the magic touch! A request if you take them: Imperial Legion Forester cabin or tent. Something like this https://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/47923
I like your mission statement for this mod. A lot of mods, mine certainly included, really have their own feel which though always nice certainly can't be called vanilla haha. I look forward to trying it out! Also since my character hardly needs six houses, I thought maybe a cool addition to this mod would be to allow npcs to live in those the Player isn't inhabiting. Talos knows Cyrodill needs more people!
Also from looking at the map it appears your Colovia Shack conflicts with the Rathunas village mod. If you're interested I could make a patch for it, I'm working quite closely with Rathunas's author Syscrusher to patch my own mod Gilagaliad and in the process develop a series of patches to keep Colovia conflict free.
I don't think a patch for Rathunas/Real Homes would be very useful. The abandoned farmhouse wouldn't fit in such a nice and neat town... but again, that's a matter of taste. I'd just declare them incompatible. There are more than enough other house mods for users who love Rathunas, Real Homes is hardly indispensable, :)
Honestly I would love to use both your mods and Rathunas. Any chance you could get in touch with Syscrusher to sort this issue out? I don't want to miss using both mods.
Syscrusher probably doesn't have the time to do it himself, I will ask him though. This is a project that could very easily be done by a member of the Rywyn team though.
Hello, all. I have tested Rathunas (https://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/45880) and Real Homes together, and as of today (2018-05-23) there are no conflicts. The Abandoned Farm is close to Rathunas but does not actually conflict.
I had tentatively planned to do some additional work in cell -33,15, but now that I know about Real Homes, I will refrain from touching that cell further.
Currently, Rathunas just *barely* touches the southeast tip of that cell. You can safely load Real Homes after Rathunas, and Real Homes will "win" the conflict in a way that is harmless to Rathunas.
Nice job on the Abandoned Farmhouse, by the way. One thing a player could consider is to use the Abandoned Farmhouse at low levels, because it is available for free, and consider moving to Rathunas at higher levels. You could go ahead and visit Rathunas to buy and sell at its merchants. This would very slightly impact your Rathunas quest experience later, but only the very first part of the story and not in a quest-breaking way. Basically, Rathunas is slightly more "surprising" if you get the quest before your character has discovered the town, but the Rathunas quests can absolutely be played even if you have already visited the town at lower levels.
Hi! I've translated this MOD into Spanish. I'm leaving you the link just in case you'll want to include it here: https://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/48515
