Oblivion

About this mod

Vastly changes Battlehorn Castle, completely overhauling exterior and interior layout, design, etc. with unique meshes.

INTRO
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Battlehorn Castle used only assets that were already present in the vanilla game. This gave it a boring aesthetic.
The interior was huge, vast and empty; using huge amounts of open area that couldn't possibly contain decoration of any sort, not to mention that the actual keep was too small to even contain that much room.
The general layout made no sense and decorations were placed in an aesthetically ineffective way, giving a mass-produced look and feel.
No more!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Using various resource kits for unique meshes, Battlehorn Castle has been rebuilt from the ground up:
new walls, a new keep, new houses, stables, rooms, etc, etc.
Everything is more compact and attractively decorated. More decorations and furniture in a smaller space instead of huge empty chambers.

INSTALL
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
1. Just put the contents of the downloaded .zip file in your "Oblivion\Data" folder. Overwrite when prompted.
2. Deactivate or delete DLCBattlehornCaslte - Unofficial Patch.esp if used.
This is important as the patch will override every change this mod makes. It is also redundant with this mod.
3. If you have trouble with the dining room doors not activating:
Delete the "CastleTowerDoor01.nif" in "Data\Meshes\Architecture\CastleInterior\TowerSmall".
It's an unnecessary duplicate of the vanilla doors, added by some dirty mods, and causes trouble with the doors in this mod.
REQUIRES BATTLEHORN CASTLE DLC.
This mod is not a replacement for, but a modification to it.
REQUIRES THE SHIVERING ISLES DLC.
For an animation file and a couple meshes.
!!! IMPORTANT~~~FOR EXISTING SAVES !!!
I VERY MUCH RECOMMEND DE-ACTIVATING DLCBattleHornCastle.esp, AND SAVING BEFORE RE-ACTIVATING IT IF USED ON AN EXISTING SAVE.
IF YOU EXPERIENCE MISSING FURNITURE, ETC. DO THIS!!!
If you haven't been to Battlehorn Castle yet on your existing save, then you should be fine.
Only if you have begun the first stage of the quest with the original .esp will you need to de-activate/re-activate.
