VANILLA STAFF REPLACER – A mod by zymurgy65

Having issued a UOP compatibility patch for another staff replacer mod I decided to produce my own full version, again using meshes and textures from the modder's resource by trollf. Not only are these more appealing visually, but many staves will now fit into display cases, or at least lie flat.

The heads of all non-unique staves (including the staff acquired during the Mages Guild quest line) are now dictated by their principal school of magic, as follows:

Alteration (Burden/Open) – Azura's Star
Conjuration (Turn Undead) – Skull
Destruction (Fire Damage) – Red Welkynd Stone
Destruction (Frost Damage) – Blue Welkynd Stone
Destruction (Shock Damage) – Forked Tip
Destruction (Other Types) – Spider
Illusion – Shepherd's Crook
Mysticism – Varla Stone

Unique staves have their own models and icons, with Mankar Camoran's staff using trollf's meshes and textures for Sheogorath's staff, as I felt the golden sunburst was more appropriate for the leader of the Mythic Dawn.

The following staves remain unchanged, because I preferred the originals:
Crystal Staff (Grummite/Order Priest), Staff of Indarys, Staff of Sheogorath, Staff of Worms.

There is now an alternative .esp file which leaves the appearance of vanilla staves with unique models and icons (e.g. Wabbajack) unchanged.

This mod also includes corrections made to staff names and charges by the UOP and USIP. Most importantly, Mankar Camoran's staff is correctly levelled. In addition, all staves have been given a base Health of at least 100.

Chancellor Ocato's staff now has a levelled enchantment and far more charges (he is the Imperial Battlemage, after all). Rindir has a larger and much more varied display in his shop, purely for visual effect.
