Introduction

The various outlaws of Cyrodiil are bad'uns—that's obvious. What's not obvious is: why do they not seem to want to hide their identities from the long arm of the law? This mod fixes that. Bandits, Highwaymen, Marauders, and Vampires now have varying chances of wearing appropriate hoods to conceal them whilst they do they're dastardly deeds (including, but not limited to, attacking every living thing they see... for some reason).

Description

Bandits, Highwaymen, and Marauders now have a chance to wear lower class hoods (which are otherwise incredibly rare in the vanilla game), with Marauders having the least chance. Vampires commonly wear Black Hoods, and Black Bow Bandits will always wear Black Hoods to differentiate them from the run-of-the-mill desperadoes.

Not only does this make sense and add some more visual variety to the game, it also helps cover up the fact that there's only a small pool of faces for each actor type. It could also be considered a sort of fix for the aforementioned rarity of lower class hoods too.

Optionally, there's a second file, which also adds a chance of hoods for Conjurers and Necromancers. This file is optional, however, since the vanilla game uses hoods to denote 'boss' characters for these factions (Conjurer/Necromancer Adepts).

Installation

Standard install: add the ESP to your (virtual) data folder however you prefer, and check in your launcher or mod manager.

Uninstallation

This mod can be uninstalled at any time and will have no permanent effects on your game. Already-loaded NPCs will still have any hoods they spawned with, but all newly (re)spawned actors will not have hoods.

Compatibility

This mod changes a lot of actor records, so I suggest you check for conflicts and make patches if needed using TESIVEdit or Wrye Bash. I've already created a patch for Oblivion Character Overhaul 2, which you can find in the downloads section.
