Oblivion rough install guide
Installing some Enhanced Combat mods.
As always, before installing anything, make sure you have back ups of all the files about to be overwritten.
I start with Elys' Oblivion -Elys- Uncapper to which I add Waldo's Legendary Abilities-Reflect MOJ.esp and Kairoch's NPC and Creature Buffer. The intention of this install is to make Oblivion interesting for high level players by raising the level cap - of attributes and skills - for player and NPC's to 200, Waldo's Reflect MOJ.esp becomes only active at levels above 100 and by changing "set aaNPCBufferQuest.bUncap to 1" in the "NPC and Creature Buffer.ini" in Kairoch's Buffer I remove the max level on all NPCs.
Since Elys' Oblivion -Elys- Uncapper is an OBSE plugin it's best to place it manually in the data\obse\plugins folder, the rest can be installed the normal way using OBMM.
As a remark here, I never had a character above lvl 50 but some attributes and skills did go above 100 so that's why I'm using it. There's also an advice to use Waldo's Grandmaster of Alchemy to uncap alchemy on higher levels with some - easy to break - quests but I'm not using it in this install.
Next I installed Zaldir's Creature Diversity with its update merged in the OMOD and Guinefort1's Daedric Resilience where I choose the Supernatural Resilience - Practical Edition with the optional DR - Blood of a Divine. With this there's a lot more variety in the creatures you meet AND daedric enemies will need "specialized equipment" :)
After this I installed Skycaptain's DeadlyReflex V5 - fixed - with the 150% esp. Though I like the bash push with a 2h blade in V6 a lot more than the one in V5.0, there's a general advice not to use V6.0 because it is "buggy and unfinished" ...
Concluding this install with Adonnays Elven Weaponry - without which I won't face all these new creatures :) - and TheInkBunny's Compact Quivers for better arrow holders which is already an OMOD file you must drop in the oblivion\obmm\mods folder.
After all these OMOD installs using OBMM I use BOSS to adjust the load order and check for problems I can solve using TES4Edit after which I use Wrye Bash to make a new Bashed Patch and finally I run TES4LODGen before I have a first look in game.
As a last remark, I personally seldom use Deadly reflex moves because my fight style is to attack with a Midas Force push but it makes my enemies stronger so fighting them is more of a pleasure :)
