DESCRIPTION

Hello, and welcome to the second mod in the Testing Hall Merchandise series. As with the first entry, this mod takes items from the Testing Hall and makes them available from a selection of vendors. In this mod, we have Gladiator-style shoes.

For images and further information, please see the original mod here: http://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/41751/

CONTENTS

This mod contains all of the meshes and textures from the original mod, as well as the following esps (based on the Original Version of the original mod):

1 - GladiatorShoesTHResource: New (aa) IDs are made for each item. A value of 30 is assigned to each item. A new version of the respawning container is made, and the new items added to it. No other change is made, and no cell or worldspace is affected. This is provided as a modders resource.

2 - GladiatorShoesTHChorrol: The container is added to Northern Goods in Chorrol. This is playable immediately.

3 - GladiatorShoesTHMarket: The container is added to Sergius Verus at Three Brothers in the Imperial City Market District. This is also playable immediately.

4 - GladiatorShoesTHLeyawiin: Lastly, the container is added to Gundalas at Best Goods in Leyawiin. Also playable immediately.

CONFLICTS/ISSUES

This mod was used alongside around 50 other mods. The vendor chests are pushed far enough down and away that they are unlikely to overlap with similar chests placed by other mods you might be using.

Known Issues - from the original ReadMe: It's made for ZKEC Xwide lowerbody so if you use it with another body, one that is not ZKEC's you'll experience some glitch. The Meshes is high poly it will maybe affect performance on low PC. Minor clipping with certain poses.

Playtest Report: My replacement playtest guinea pig character went into Three Brothers and bought a pair of brown gladiator shoes. The icons were badly scrambled, and there was a noticeable delay between selecting the item and the character wearing them. I attribute the latter to the above-noted high poly nature of these items.

My laptop doesn't like screenshots, so feel free to take pics of your characters using this mod. Upload them to this mod's webpage, and I'll verify the images as soon as possible.

IN CLOSING

This mod was created using the latest version of the Construction Set, and playtested with The Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion 5th Anniversary Edition. Although Shivering Isles and Knights Of The Nine were installed at the time, they are not necessary for use of this mod. Similarly, while OBSE was installed it was not used during play. Nor was any other utility installed or used.

My replacement playtest guinea pig character is based in the Imperial City Market District, where several versions of my mods happen to add items to vendors. How convenient.

Due to the issues I experienced during playtesting, I probably won't be using this mod as much as I'd like. Don't let my laptop's idiosyncracies stop you from using this mod. After all, it would rather be downloading and installing updates than doing anything like playing games.

These mods are my way of sharing some of the fun I had with the mods they are based on. Thank you for reading, and enjoy your gaming.
