Further note on this mod: I recently realized it overrides any CSE editing to the original Midas Magic. I made a lot of changes to monsters stats, spells, etc in the Midas esp, but none of them take effect in-game since this mod resets everything back to default. So if you want to edit Midas, don't use the original Midas esp; use the "MidasSpellsMonsters.esp" from this mod, because it goes last in the order therefore its edits will stick in the bashed patch.
I recommend doing it that way, since this mod has some new creatures & spells which add to Midas' already great assortment, and it makes ALL spells appear when you use the "setstage midaspsb 42" cheat - unlike the original which doesn't give you all the spells (even though it claims to.) In fact I added every Midas creature from the original & this mod to the Wabba Summon list, so when I cast that spell, it conjures 1 random Midas monster to fight with me. It's a great way to see all the Midas creatures, rather than waiting to encounter them, or more often, never seeing them at all. And the mod itself by design makes NPCs & creatures use the spells, so definitely use it for the full Midas experience. Keep the esps from this mod pretty low in your order, and don't forget to add the 'relev' bash tag to both esps.
This is a useful, fun mod; it makes creatures & npcs more fearsome by giving them powerful Midas spells in their leveled lists. But it's difficult to tell what these spells do damage-wise, and a few of them are annoying. Large battles can get ugly with all these npcs casting flashy spells that can darken the interiors to pitch black, freeze people, stop time, etc. More often than not it's great though, which is why I keep using it. For example I really like lichs randomly spraying water at people, or mages shrinking npcs down to tiny size temporarily, or polymorphing into a weretiger.
Suggestions for improvement: There's a Midas spell called smoke screen or something like that, it uses thick black smoke, which npc's tend to use VERY often, and it stays there for quite a while; this clouds up the screen to a point where you can't see much of what's going on. The author of Midas Magic originally intended it to be cast occasionally by the PC as a smoke screen; he never imagined npcs would be using it all over the place, making battles tough to get through. It needs to be removed, along with the Holy Judgment spell, which causes save games to CTD (though there's a fix for that, which HAS to be used or your save games will be permanently corrupted after any NPC or creature uses that spell and it hits an inanimate object.)
UPDATE: Use Tes4Edit to change the spells. Under the leveled spells section, you can go into each list and use the dropdown menu to change the Midas spells npcs will use. The smoke spell is in the illusion lists. I changed it to Dark Tentacles in every list and now the smoke is gone. I also changed many other Midas spells for the npcs to use while I was at it. The author made his own decisions about which to choose for each magic leveled list, which are generally sensible, but I prefer others than the ones he chose.
sorry,I tried to report a bug in Japanese. But Nexus didn't allow it. I experienced the same bug as marob307 in English Newest version. This is just a report. So kinisezugannbaltutekudasai.
I'm now playing this mod in new character save.As long as I've played for 30h,no trouble was happened! Then,Sorry. The CTD trouble isn't caused by this mod, maybe.
