It Gives an Edge over CM Partner MODS as " These are Generic Re-Spawning Factoin Followers " so if ONE, TWO or more are Killed in Game, New Replacements will be Spawn and we can use them.......In Military Terms " They are Good Cannon-Fodder Soldires" .........Beside we sometimes become emotionally attached with our CM Partners just like our Main Playing Character......This also MOD also help negate that feeling because.....A game is always a GAME.....and Real life is always REAL
Honestly, it's way more practical to install the various packs of CM Partners, which will give you such companions but with way more features. I don't recall right off-hand which packs include which partners, but it's in their descriptions and readmes. I definitely have Blades, TG, FG, etc., companions available, with CM's Party command, full inventory sharing, etc., etc.
