I don't know if anyone is still monitoring this page, but I'll give it a shot.

I love this mod and have used it on all my playthroughs for at least the past 10 years. I really enjoy being able to decorate my stalls and treat my horses like Kings & Queens. However, I've run into  a problem as of late (and this has happened with a couple other mods as well, namely ones that add more spells and weapon slots).

I recently overcame some anxiety about it and learned how to fix dirty edits and such using TES4edit and to bash patches with Wrye Bash. These things have made my game run much more smoothly. One of the things I did while trying to suss out some of the problems I was having involved uninstalling and reinstalling certain mods. One of them was this one. The problem is, while everything else works fine—finding stable decorations and the signs in the general good stores, using the signs, stabling the horses in the cities, etc.—the one thing that stopped working was accessing the horse's inventory. Sneaking and activating just has me mount the horse. Is there something I can check on to see if it's been deleted? Change the load order? Other suggestions?

    TIA!

Very great mod and well-compatible with other horse mods. But i have a very stupid question. How do i pick up the stable marker? Thank you, Khettienna.

Hi there!  Sorry for the late reply.  You can pick up the stable marker by activating it while sneaking.  I'm glad you like it!

I wanted to give Prior Marbles Horse a nice retirement (and I hated, that it followed me around everywhere), so this mod is exactly what I needed.

Still working like a charm in 2022. Thank you!

I'm having a little trouble with this mod. I get an immediate CTD as soon as I put down a marker, even when I have no other mods installed. I tried this mod several months ago and the same thing happened, so I simply uninstalled, but this mod really interests me, so I tried again. Still won't work for me. I'm using the latest OBSE version. I just downloaded it a few days ago.

Hmm. I can't guess why this would happen -- make sure you are using the "No Shivering Isles" version if you don't have Shivering Isles, and make sure both Horse Management.esp and Horse Management.bsa are in your ..Oblivion\ Data folder.

If both of those things are good to go, can you please try purchasing one of the stable supplies/decorations and dropping it into the game world, and telling me if that works for you?

Probably not relevant, but are you dropping the marker in the same area every time you try? And where is that?

I had a similar problem, but figured out a work-around that might help others who are having a problem. If you shift click items from this mod (including decorations) to drop them directly, things work ok. If you long click and hold to close the menu and drop them from your "hand" the game crashes!

I bought my stuff in Bravil at The Fair Deal.

If you don't find the stuff - check your install and how you installed? There are choices within the package?

This mod is a masterpiece. A lot of contributors too.  I have a installed 2 stables in my Hammerfell WIP.

Lifts the feeling for Tamriel immensely!

"at most vanilla general goods vendors"

Yeah, okay, fine, BUT WHERE EXACTLY? It's driving me insane this thing, I can't find anything, anywhere. Please, can somebody point me where do I have to go?

EDIT: okay, found one place, I'll leave the post for everyone.

Is this compatible with Slof's "Oblivion Horses" mod? If you are not familiar with it, you can see it here (you will first be taken to Slof's "Disclaimer" page; once you tick the box that says you understand re the site's content, you will be redirected to the horse mod page):

    http://www.slofslair.co.uk/mods/63

I don't see anything about using the two mods together that would indicate a potential problem, but as I am not a modder I wouldn't necessarily see one. Thank you in advance.

It is extremely frustrating that when I fast travel, my horse shows up next to me every time. The ability to customize how fast travel relates to my mount is so valuable to me that I would use this mod for that alone. The various creature comforts for horses are a wonderful addition as well (parking a shod horse on a stone floor? I know...they are just 0's and 1's, but it matters to me).

Thank you so much for taking the time to create this mod, Khettienna. I have largely avoided using mounts in my game due to the fast-travel issue, but with your mod I can again enjoy them. Nicely done! :)

This mod seems simple and much needed! Why have I not found it sooner?! If I endorse it, then I like it
