Adds a bound equipment spell with some configuration options.

Custom Bound Equipment adds a new spell with some configuration options to summon bound equipment with some configuration options. It does not include any new resources and such, but the items' appearance, their biped slot masks, as well as most of their stats will be copied from base records of the user's choice. The bound items available are helmet, cuirass, greaves, gloves, boots, shield, weapon and arrows. The weapon feature should support at least all the normal weapon types, like blades and blunts (both one-handed and two-handed), bows and staves. This mod may not be bug-free, and it will certainly not be of professional quality. So it might cause all kinds of issues.

Requirements


  • Oblivion Script Extender (OBSE)
  • The Unofficial Oblivion Patch
  • Punchinello

If using Custom Spell Icons, the spell will use its new icon instead of the default script effect icon. The mod works without Custom Spell Icons.

Installation & Removal


To install this mod, a mod manager would be recommended. Use the configuration file to tailor the mod.

Configuration File Usage


The configuration file is in JSON - CustomBoundEquipment.json - to make it cleaner, more structured and easier to process thanks to Punchinello. I have drawn partial configuration file value explanations in an image that can be found in the images tab. The rest of the values should be named in a way that makes their function self-explanatory. If not, feel free to ask. Do note that the configuration file is in JSON, so you will need to make sure the file remains valid JSON after your edits or else it cannot be read!

Known Issues & Bugs


See the bugs section of the mod page for bugs. The bugs section tab is right next to the comments section tab. Should you find any bugs or something else that clearly should not be there, do be so kind as to report it in the bugs section. It might also be a good idea for people considering whether to use this mod to see what bugs have been reported.

Compatibility


Should be compatible with everything. As of version 1.1.1, all bound items should also have their weight set to 0 for compatibility with Maskar's Oblivion Overhaul. As of version 1.1.3 all bound items should have their value set to 0 as well.
