Details
=======

This mod adds a multitude of corpses to the ruins of Kvatch, the Kvatch Oblivion gate, and (depending on the version you choose) the corpses of would-be heroes who ahve stormed the Oblivion gates popping up all across Cyrodiil. This mod contains two esp files:

- Devastation of Kvatch - Kvatch only
- Devastation of Kvatch

The Kvatch only version adds the corpses of citizens and guards to the ruins of Kvatch as well as dead guards to the Kvatch Oblivion gate. The regular version is a good deal more extensive. In addition to what the Kvatch only file does, the regular one also adds the remains of unlucky would-be heroes to random gates, including:

- legion soldiers
- adventurers
- treasure hunters
- bandits
- Fighters Guild soldiers
- Blackwood Company soldiers
- slain daedra (version 1.1 and Scattered Weapons only)

More corpses of dead Knights of the Thorn have been added to the Cheydinhal gate. City guards have not been added, as the way the gates are randomized, adding them would cause city guards to spawn in ridiculous and inappropriate places (i.e. Anvil gaurds appearing in gates in the Blackwood).

Optional Files
==============

The Scattered Weapons Pack is an alternative set of esp files to the main mod. By request, these files add dropped weapons next to the bodies of slain guards, adventurers, soldiers, and the like. As with the main version, there are two esps, one being Kvatch Only, and one that covers the content outside of Kvatch. Dropped weapons will all be fairly low level, so as to prevent early access to high level weapons by low level PCs. These files are intended to be used as an alternative to the main ones. If using the Scattered Weapons pack, the main mod must be installed, but the main esp files must be disabled or deleted. Then choose one of the Scattered Weapons files to use in its place.

Incompatability
===============

This mod is not compatible with any mods that edit the planes of Oblivion or the structure of Kvatch. This mod is compatible with Open Cities and is technically compatible with Kvatch Rebuilt, though there may be some aesthetic clashes between the two mods.

Only use one of the esp files in this mod; the same applies to the Scattered Weapons pack.

Known Issues
============

Astute mod makers may notice that despite the cleaning with TES4Edit, that this mod still has some dirty entries, which are confined to some cells in Kvatch castle and a few cells in some Oblivion gates. Despite my efforts to remove them, these dirty edits kept reappearing even as I rebuilt parts of this mod. It appears that placing havok-sensitive items into certain cells and running the havok simulation in the CS will cause some objects in that same cell to be flagged as edited even though they were never manipulated by the user. Best as I can tell, this is a bug in the CS itself. True or not, there is nothing I have been able to do to remove these edits.
