Version
: 2.0
Author: Oaristys
Category: Nehrim – Models and textures

This mod is an overhaul for Nehrim which changes characters and outfits in the game to make them more appealing. I haven’t created anything here: it’s mainly a compilation of talented modders' resources to embellish this astonishing game (see Credits section). I’ve assembled and tweaked them so that I can guarantee you that it is 100% lore-friendly, seamlessly integrated and visually pleasant.
If you want to play Nehrim again or play it for the first time, it's the moment! Enjoy this unique experience with characters more beautiful than ever!

I couldn't include the three hair packs by Maxim in my mod because they are no resource, but you only need meshes and textures folders in your Nehrim\Data folder and that's all! Don't forget to endorse his work. I wanted my pack to be an all-in-one but, after I've basically tried EVERY hair available and admitted that most of the male hairstyles were mediocre for a medieval-fantasy world, I decided that Max's conversions are the most beautiful and that the ones I’ve picked fit perfectly in Nehrim. See by yourself!

1. INSTALL THE 5 PREREQUISITES in Nehrim's folder like you’d do for Oblivion.

2. The mod comprises:
ORN.bsa – the main resources.
ORN.esp – the main plugin.
Meshes folder – contains bodies replacement and armor/clothes conversions (you’ll need to replace when asked, but I provide on the download page a backup of the original meshes folder in case you want to uninstall this mod- I hope you don’t!).
Textures folder – contains body textures and facetints.
>>> COPY ALL OF THAT IN YOUR NEHRIM\DATA FOLDER.

3. Activate ORN.esp in the Nehrim launcher and launch the game via the launcher (it detects OBSE automatically) or via OBSE itself.

Faces

New meshes and textures from the mod Oblivion Characters Overhaul by the talented Nuska. They vary depending on race and sex, thanks to the wonderful OBSE plugin Blockhead.

• About 100 age sliders adding beards, scars, warpaints or makeup depending on race and sex.

• Real eyelashes.

Eyes

• Four new sets for humans: “Capucine”, “Cloud” byDustinFlan, “Bright” by Lucha, “Belphe’s Eyes” by Chakaru (total 47) and two new sets for Aeterna: “Dragon” by Cernasite and “Clarity” by VictoriaVII, plus more Ren eyes, normal and wall-eyes (total 34).

Hair

97 hairs to choose from, plus a few unique hair for the main NPC. 74 for humans (31 genderless, 28 for females, 15 for males) and 23 for Aeterna (16 genderless, 7 for females). Most of them (except Max’s ones since they’re not included in the package) have been reworked in 3ds Max by myself to fit the new head mesh and Aeterna ears.

Body

• Entirely integrated Robert male body (average) and HGEC (normal C-cup).
Seamless bodies and equipment (thanks to junkacc).

Outfits

• Includes conversion of all the vanilla outfits (not only those from Oblivion, but also those added for the own purposes of Nehrim) for the above-mentioned bodies, both from existing packs and my humble modeling skills.

• All vanilla armor and clothes that hided the amulets now allow them to show, so that you can use capes and circlets with them (see below).

12 unique robes/armors that used a “vanilla” mesh now have a unique look: Thief, Druid, Isela, Mana princess, Spider silk, Conjurer, Predator, Veil of the Avatar, Arcane Brotherhood, Exiled, Devious.

• Some important NPC have unique, non-playable outfits to reinforce immersion: Merzul, Vanmiria, Narathzul Arantheal (first robe), Kim (slave outfit & armor), Taranor, Gabor, Amanda, Nicci, Antoinette Boddenbruuk, Kalrador, Tyr, Zelara, the Conductor, Mathilda, Erodan, Handor, Julius, Balgo the gladiator, Kathi the banker, Latharna the snow witch, Marianne, Pueblo the pirate, Vivienne the horse breeder, three dancers, Rodrigues the banker, Gervasius, captain Bligh, Rodizius the pirate merchant, the Star King, the high-priest of Erothin, the baker and the bankers.

• Some new non-playable robes have been added to various secondary NPC like trainers, merchants…

Four new playable outfits added to bosses: Alchemist’s robe, Teldrasul’s robe, Arazdor's Armor and Reinforced mage armor with gauntlets.

13 neckseam concealers and 13 amulets to find at merchants, on NPCs and loot.

24 circlets by Kafei, scripted by Ketthienna. Each circlet comes in four versions: cloth/armored, amulet/tail slot. Only the cloth one using the amulet slot will be found at the merchants’ and on the NPCs, to reduce inventory clutter. However, once you obtain a circlet, you can change its version to any one you want. Hold the left ALT key while clicking on a circlet from your inventory, and a menu will appear allowing you to choose another version. Your new choice will be added to your inventory immediately, and your old circlet will disappear as soon as you close your inventory. You can do this freely as many times as you like. Once a circlet has been enchanted, of course, you won't be able to switch anymore.

60 capes by Hemingway, including custom capes for some guards. They come in two versions: amulet/tail slot. Like the circlets, you can switch between the two versions by opening the menu with ALT-click.

Bug fixes

• Bard hats that made them bald and earless (!) now display correctly.
• Vanilla outfits that didn’t have a female version of gloves or shoes now have.
• Includes “More feminine templar robes” by Micalov.

Every feature has been applied to almost all the NPCs of the game, while preserving their original design and the spirit of the game as conceived by the SureAI team. My only goal was to embellish the game.
I started this mod two years ago then let it down. When Nuska released her cosmetic mod, I saw a new opportunity to bring it to an end and I've been working hard for three months to give you this mod as close of my first idea as possible.

• Meshes have been optimized with PyFFi 2.1.10.
• Textures have been optimized with Optimizer Textures 0.8.3.

Clipping: Long hair will clip with the outfits, but that was already an issue with Ren's hair included in Nehrim. Cloaks may clip with the shoulders, but it will depend on what outfit you’re wearing (better with armors than with clothes).

If you notice any bug, please let me know so that I can fix it.

• This mod won’t be compatible with any mod modifying races, NPCs and outfits in the game.

• All the popular mods for Nehrim are compatible.

• I didn’t edit any cell except RaljienPart01 where I added a new outfit.

If one of the features or character design is unbearable to you, please let me know and I’ll try to make a patch. If you want little optional things like making an outfit playable or having the vanilla look of a specific character back, please ask me and I’ll try to make it. If you have suggestions to help me to improve this mod, please leave a comment or send me a PM.

Screenshots: I’d be so glad if you post some screens (or videos) of how this mod looks in your game! It’s the best way you can show me that you liked my work.
Translations: This mod is available in English and in German at the moment, and in French on La Confrérie des Traducteurs. Other translations are welcome too.
