You mean the original Skyrim Improved? I suppose so. If you don't use Tamriel Heightmaps (TWMP), then you cannot have any of the mods that are based on TWMP, like this one.
HELP! Suddenly, after so many years of playing Oblivion with this mod installed, people from all over Skyrim are pursuing me...not aggressively but just showing up! Whole groups of them at times...following me around, entering my home(s). It's annoying! Why is this happening? If this keeps up, I'll have no other choice but to remove the mod! A big thank you to anyone who can help.
Trying to figure out what suddenly caused me to loose all waters above sea level in Skyrim Improved lands! Yes I have Skyrim Locations and Skyrim Alive installed as well! Here's my load order (partial only) around where Skyrim Improved is at! Please tell me what I did wrong to loose SKyrim Improved waters? -Tamriel.esp -TamRes.esp -Elsweyr Anequina.esp -TWMP_BlackMarsh.esp -TWMP_Summerset.esp -TWMP High Rock.esp -TWMP Map Markers-High Rock.esp -TWMP Skyrim Improved.esp -TWMP Skyrim Guard Armor and Shields.esp -TWMP Locations.esp -TWMP Skyrim Alive.esp -TWMP_Valenwood_Elsweyr.esp -ElsweyrPelletine.esp
EDIT: Well, looks like readjusting the load order fixed the problem here! I had to put the load order as close to what Onra recommends! So my load order now looks like this! -TamRes.esp -Tamriel.esp -ElsweyrAnequina.esp -TWMP_Summerset.esp -TWMP_Valenwood_Elsweyr.esp -ElsweyrPelletine.esp -TWMP_BlackMarsh.esp -TWMP_Hammerfell.esp (This for Hammerfell Improved) -TWMP_HighRock.esp -TWMP_MapMarkers_HighRock.esp -TWMP_SkyrimImproved.esp -TWMP_SkyrimGuardArmor&Shield.esp -TWMP_Locations.esp -TWMP_SkyrimAlive.esp
Setting my load order this way saved me alot of headaches as it brought back the rivers of Skyrim Improved and solved other issues as well!
As far as I know TWMP_Valenwood_Elsweyr.esp still has water in it! Now as far as TWMP Valenwood Improved goes, I can't comment on that one as I have to explore thruout that content on a differnet MTES4 Oblivion clone copy!!! When it comes to Valenwood I have two different TWMP copies thanks to MTES4, one with just TWMP_Valenwood_Elsweyr.esp and one with that plus TWMP Valenwood Improved and Southern Alliance!
So when it comes to Valenwood, what area of water are you referring to? And near what fast travel point(s)?
I found that when using TWMP Southern Alliance, Elsweyr and Valenwood had to be loaded after Skyrim, or all lakes in Valenwood were dry. Lakes in Cyrodiil were unaffected. I wonder if there is may be a conflict there somewhere, although I didn't find anything wrong when I checked. What you are reporting with Skyrim, sounds similar.
There is a lake just North East of Southpoint, for example.
In my TWMP game copy 1, which has only Valenwood-ELsweyr and not Valenwood Improved, I still have water in Valenwood! Yet in my 2nd TWMP copy of Oblivion, which does have Valenwood Improved in it, I haven't explored everything out yet so I can't say for sure! If I do find missing water there, I will let you know and I will try the load order you recommend if that happens!
Please do. I did not have time to investigate all areas when I stumbled upon the dry lakes in Valenwood problem. Although the Imperial City and Riften were both fine. It may also be that the problem is somehow caused by the other mods in the load order, something must conflict. So then your installation will be different from mine.
But if that's the case, then why is every other province mod working fine without borders issue previous to the installation of this mod ? Do I have to conclude that borders are still enabled in Skyrim Improved and all its requirements ?
No, something strange is going on there. Once you install TWMP Skyrim Improved, do the other provinces also stop working? I assume so. Do you use a mod manager to install this mod? People reported problems with that.
"Once you install TWMP Skyrim Improved, do the other provinces also stop working?"
I actually get automatically teleported to the IC Tiber Septim Hotel and can normally walk in the streets, but can't get out of the city without getting the "turn back" message.
"Do you use a mod manager to install this mod? People reported problems with that."
I do use Mod Organizer v2.4.4. But I've got 250 mods installed, have played a long game (I'm level 12) without major issues, and installing TWMP Skyrim Improved manually would mean I'd also have to install all the other mods manually (because they wouldn't be located in the same profile otherwise), and I'm not really willing to do that considering the amount of new problems that could bring and the fact I got 250 mods to work together in the first place is because I'm using a mod manager. I'm surprised this popular mod wasn't made Mod Manager friendly inasmuch the amount of time saved and issues prevented using these.
What you describe with being teleported to the Tiber Septim Hotel is very strange indeed. I think your problem is the mod manager. It isn't this mod TWMP Skyrim Improved which causes the issue but one of its dependencies - the mod called "TWMP". It has two modules - TWMP High Rock and TWMP Skyrim. You only need High Rock. If you also install Skyrim, you are going to have major issues. I suspect that your mod manager installed both modules. If you can manually disable Skyrim.esm and Skyrim.esp, it should help you along, although I cannot guarantee that it will solve everything.
We all have to make choices and it sounds like your installation is not accepting TWMP Skyrim Improved.
You don't need map markers - TWMP High Rock Map Markers and TWMP Skyrim Map Markers, these two ESP are meant for modders who develop new content. However, they should not have caused the problem. Please remove also Skyrim.ESM - the master file from "TWMP".
Your OBSE v14 is a bit old. Version 19 at least is recommended, but the latest version is 21. I don't know if it would cause that strange behaviour though. I would suggest upgrading to the latest version.
If you are doing your own LOD, then you don't need any of the LOD resources. However, again, this shouldn't cause any issues, they will be simply overwritten.
Both TWMP Locations and TWMP Skyrim Alive must come after TWMP Skyrim Improved! Basically, put Skyrim Improved immediately after Hammerfell.
Otherwise I don't see anything wrong with your load order!
I just edited my message, because I forgot to mention : - I have the latest version of OBSE - Skyrim Alive esp and bsa is also part of my load order - I don't seem to be finding any file called Skyrim.esm, what number is that refering to in my load order ?
I have seen your edits with TWMP Locations and TWMP Skyrim Alive, and so I edited my response to match... You need to have TWMP Skyrim Improved immediately after Hammerfell, so before Location and Skyrim Alive.
Skyrim.ESM is a file that comes with the Skyrim module from the mod "TWMP". Since you had Skyrim.ESP, you should also have the ESM somewhere. ESM files are always loaded first - so it would be near the top, before all the ESPs. But if you don't have it, so for the better.
EDIT: Just looked at "TWMP" and indeed I don't see Skyrim.ESM there. Perhaps it was changed since I downloaded it. Never mind then. Just make sure you don't have it loaded.
Ok, I did everything you said... It also seems as though I hadn't disabled the border in Oblivion INI... So I did... And for the first time, I didn't get teleported to the Tiber Septim Hotel, but to my actual saved location outside ! It seems to be working (I can't check instantly. I have to travel there on foot as I'm using the Realistic Map mod). Although I don't seem to be seeing any added province appear on my map, apart from Elsweyr Anequina. Hmm... Will have to sort that out. I couldn't thank you enough ! You made my day !
EDIT : Solved the map problem by simply installing Tamriel HD module for Dynamic map. Works like a charm :D Didn't realize you were one of the mod creators, haha
Very happy for you that it worked out! Yeah, disabling borders is a bit confusing - you can do it in the INI file but also it can be done from a mod... Except that the latter method doesn't always work, I've read a lot of complaints about that. The INI method seems to be fool-proof though.
You see, I just came upon a location in your mod called Southern Mines and went to the very back of those same mines next to a chest and somehow got transported to an Oblivion Citadel style dungeon that turned out to be one huge maze that I got totally lost in with no way out back to the Southern Mine! I need help on how to navagate the huge epic sized maze! Any chance on a guide, perhaps?
I've used TES4LL and it leads to a lot of the distant terrain in Skyrim being invisible and replaced with lower landed terrain (for example the Throat of the World is invisible but I can see High Hrothgar in the distance sitting in the air)
Hi there, I don't really expect a response but every time I start a new game and get out of the sewers it tells me "you cannot go this way" and loads me back into the sewers. what can I do?
You need to have [General] bBorderRegionsEnabled=0
In your oblivion.ini if you use mod organiser you will need to edit the ini in the profiles folder which is in the main mod organiser folder There are some mods that try to remove the borders dont use them just do the ini tweak

Well this mod creator Haldar1248 clearly did not know what markarth and solitude looked like when he made this mod as you all can see they look nothing like solitude or markarth not even 1%.
