About this mod
A COMPLETELY redesigned Spellbreaker, with an incredibly awesome mesh and perfect textures with a working specular map! And it even has a new icon! Sincerely, you want it!

How easy would it be for a slab of nightmares disturbed by a spell to sink their fangs into the mind of an unexpecting mage? Try and see for yourself, adventurer, for you may now wield the shadows.
*End of the logorrhea*
I got really tired of the appearance of my old Spellbreaker mod. It's too blocky in my taste. As I was working on a shield for my upcoming-but-in-a-few-years-because-i-have-no-time Legends Of Azeroth mod, I thought this would be a much better replacement. I uploaded it as a separate mod because, as you can see (http://oblivion.nexusmods.com/mods/41781), it's not an update : it's a totally different mod.
There are 4 ESPs in this file : I got bored of creating and uploading 8 files for every replacer, so I chose to simplify my life : ) I cannot guarantee this will work with the NMM, but I'm keeping NMM download available until I'm told it dosen't.
You have to pick and activate the one you want (and only one), rather than just downloading it directly. The files are as follows :
- Spellbreaker Replacer With Reflection With Tweak (The new mesh has a very good-looking metallic reflection that makes it as sexy as a sport car, and the shield is now as good as a madness shield, which means it's slightly better than a Daedric one)
- Spellbreaker Replacer With Reflection No Tweak (The new mesh still has its very sexy metallic reflection, but the shield's stats remain unchanged)
- Spellbreaker Replacer No Reflection With Tweak (The shield has a smooth metallic texture, and the shield is now as good as a madness shield, which means it's slightly better than a Daedric one) - Note the copy/paste here.
- Spellbreaker Replacer No Reflection No Tweak (The shield has a smooth metallic texture, stats are unchanged, but it's still awesome)
ALL versions also add a new inventory icon to the Spellbreaker.
The inspiration for this shield was the very, very sweet Shield of Impenetrable Darkness from WoW : The Burning Crusade.
Oh! So, those were the droids you were looking for? *Does weird Jedi finger trick* You Will Endorse This file!
Note: The sword and armor in the screenshots are WIPs. Some people may have recognized a set of Netherblade armor, and they're damn well right!
Don't forget to take a look at my other artifact replacers:

VERSION HISTORY
1.0 : Initial release
=========================================
REQUIREMENTS
The official 1.2.416 oblivion patch, or the Shivering Isles expansion.
OBMM (Oblivion Mod Manager), or 7-Zip archiver.
=========================================
CONFLICTS
None that I can think of.
But this shield will clip slightly in 1st person. If your shoulders are too huge (extravagant modded armrors and such, it might also clip.)
=========================================
INSTALLATION
OBMM install:
-Click the OMod file (this should open The Oblivion Mod Manager)
-Select this mod in the list (there should be a green square beside its name)
-Click Activate
- Of the 4 ESPs that will appear to the left, pick only one (the one which interests you) and activate it. If all of them are already checked, uncheck those you do not want, and ignore the error message. You can even edit the OMOD to remove (delete) the unwanted ESP files.
-Launch Oblivion
Manual install:
-Using 7-Zip, unzip the file.
-Select and copy the «Spellbreaker Replacer [...].esp» (note that the name will differ relatively to what file you chose to download), Meshes and Textures folders found inside to your C:\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Oblivion\Data directory, so that the file paths look like this (basically dump them into your Data folder):
C:\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Oblivion\Data\Meshes
C:\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Oblivion\Data\Textures
C:\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Oblivion\Data\Spellbreaker Replacer [...].esp
REMEMBER: Failure to understand that only ONE of the 4 Esp files must be activated will probably result in a crash or another bad situatin. In the best case, it will make the last ESP load over the others and take their stead.
=========================================
It would be an honor to know that another modder has used these files to further his own goals. As long as, of course, my name appears somewhere.
Do NOT, however, use this mod or any part of it in a Skyrim mod, I'll do that myself once I can get a better dinosaur to play on...
=========================================
First and foremost, I have to thank the whole TESNexus community for the ideas, tutorials, help and inspiration they provide to every newcomer. Also, many thanks to Bethesda Softworks for producing one of the most fantastic games in the Multiverse. And to Blizzard's artists, who created so many, many incredible works of art!
A few special thanks to:
The owner of the Nexus sites, Dark0ne, for his unrelenting work
LHammonds, for his devotion and help on technical matters
And a very special thanks to Jojjo, whose truly magnificent and inspiring works have litterally sucked me into the fantastic «modding-texturing-3d modeling-animation» vortex.
